After seeing Texas beating OSU and #3,5,6,and 10 losing tonight where is Texas going to end up if we win last 2 games?? Rose or Fiesta maybe?!?!
I think if we take care of business the last two games we have a good shot at Fiesta. Supposedly Fiesta Bowl officials were in Austin this week. The team is peaking at a good time. I think Ohio St needs to lose a game for us to really be a lock. Also, the SEC is going to be a wild finish, might need Georgia to lose or something like that. That would truly be a nice consolation prize this season if we got to a BCS bowl and actually won it. Mack Brown would get alotttt of heat off his shoulders if he does this. We'll see.. great win today though.
I think it helps that we are probably only looking at one team from the big 10 being invited, and that will be decided when OSU and Michigan play. I can't see the loser of that getting an at large bid, and the winner will most likely be the conf. champ. Texas is in good shape if they win out, I think. We'll see if the new BCS standing reaffirm that. And will TCU get to move up with the other top team losses? A top 6 BCS team is GUARANTEED a BCS bowl, I believe. I bet a bowl that would get them would be less than ecstatic.
I can't get too excited. Flashbacks to last year... Tech shouldn't be a problem, but it easily can be if the secondary is like last year. Honestly, I haven't seen that much to show our secondary is good, but I hope the coaches look at what successful teams have done against Tech and learned from last year. Not only that, but if we continue this running game, then it SHOULDN'T be a problem anyway. A&M wouldn't be a problem as long as we take them seriously. They'll have nothing to play for but we can't take it easy.
Perrin Uh might want to keep those bold statements till the end of the year. Season is not over. Famous movie quote.. "Nothing is written.."
Fiesta is, bizarrely given the first part of the season, the most likely scenario. If Texas wins out, unless OU loses to Tech or Baylor, they're going to the BCS. Funny how the season changes your perspective. A month ago, Texas was a poorly coached fraud. Now they're a great team with a good coach that just happens to be unfortunate to be in a division with a truly magnificent team and perhaps the best coach in college football. One loss to one of the best college teams ever - and one bad game. Perhaps a tiny bit disappointing, but so much better than things just seemed a few weeks ago. Now, of course, if Texas disappoints against the Red Raiders Gimmic offense... or the "we can't even cross the 40" wunderkind... then all of that will change. Funny sport, ain't it?
I'm still hoping USC somehow goes down at UCLA. Otherwise Michigan vs Texas will be a stweet mathcup.
He's playing the straight man. Every quality team has down years. UT has also. IMO, it's best to leave them alone while they rebuild, then have fun again when the rivalry is restored.
They're waiting on word from the "Holy Jesus, Do We Suck" Bowl. It was a lock that Penn State and Notre Dame would play, but after this weekend, A&M is back in contention.
Ambiguous. 1. You mean I should've stated more than the obvious? Sometimes the obvious is all that needs to be stated. Or 2. You mean I should be classier? The answer to that is even more obvious. No. Pooooooooooooooooooooor aggy
