not taking anything away from tanner, that was a great post. but I feel that there're many other posts here that are more useful for Yao, for example the discussion of techniques that prevent fronting. but nobody chose to translate those.

I think it's GREAT that Yao is finally getting to hear what Rox fans close to the action are thinking. I really hope that he will continue to get input from us "experts" at ClutchFans. This is great! Hopefully he will realize what we are all thinking...that he is THE MAN on the court and can the dominate the game with his pinky finger, if he so chooses to do so.

laughdog, please keep forwarding useful and insightful posts to Yao on his website. I think it's awesome what you're doing. Now, if only we had a way to reach Steve, Cat, and the rest of the gang. JVG too!!!

I would personally prefer 45% force 65% finesse. He is just too good with finesse. Remember that Olajuwan started out as 100% force and became a dominant offensive force when he changed it to mostly finesse.

I can't believe that Yao actually posts on a BBS right after a game. That's just so . . . bizarre and geeky and unexpected and cool. I love it.

This has been brought up in the past, always as a joke. But I wonder, maybe if Colin translates, maybe Yao could post some on ClutchFans? We'd need to do some trial run, mabye a chat session. But if Colin could intermediate, there's actually an outside change of that happening.

Great. I like that. Yao was trying to change his game last night. Hopefully it will only take game or two.

The translation of your post on his site was wonderful and I really believe Yao Ming truly understood the points (He replied) you made and that was reflected during the game (His aggressiveness). You should really thank the translators and the people on that site who posted just to make sure your article would be ranked high in post-counts so that Yao can notice it. Good Job Everyone!

I was amazed by that too. I wondered may be Yao is the only NBA player that like to communicate with fans through BBS.
I hope I can see his post on this BBS soon.

Thanks for giving it to Yao. Wow. In a wierd, vague, conceptual way, Yao knows of my existence. You can always send stuff to the Franchise (but, um, those posts won't be, uh, about basketball).

Funny that you mentioned you're a lawyer. I'm a first year law student at NYU.

That would be so cool but I am not sure if Yao's English is good enough to handle chatroom.

not to give a plug for myself, i translated the 1st and 4th paragraph, and the whole article is the co-work of many of yao's chinese fans hanging around his bbs.

:) I did the second half of the translation (well, almost). And thanks to laughdog, he put everyone's work together and did a great proofreading.

Well, I don't even know Chinese. Wow, you guys are tops for having the linguistic skills to translate from one language to another.

    Once again, thanks!

Someone from Yao's BBS just told me you are actually a SHE not a HE. From reading your article, in my imagination you were a bearded 300+ pound guy always with a cigarette on your lips while writing on the BBS, and probably this guy likes to dunk toy b-ball into trash cans night in and night out to develop his aggressiveness. sorry for the mistake, but it'll continue to happen in this great cyber age.

yao did say your post had made him think of a lot of things and thanked you on the BBS. keep it up tanner, great job. btw, good luck with your law study at NYU. I studied law at UVa which was really a pain in the ass...
