we rather support a lottery houston team lead by a fighter instead of a playoff team hampered by a quitter.

feel sorry for nene, bev, ariza and capela, they deserve a better leader.

James Harden underachieved. Francis, Tmac, Yao now Harden. Great players but not clutch.

I just feel grateful to appreciate and witness the glory years before I die.

It may be a long time before Houston wins a championship again.

    Thank you Hakeem.

Trash ass thread. 0 star, will not read again. If you think you're the only fan bitter about tonight's ending, try again.

It truly is amazing how just two bad games can undo an entire season of positivity and good will. I've never been more disgusted.

His game is definitely great enough to win. Mentally, he has completely gone backwards. I get in the finals he didn't show up, but overall two seasons ago this guy was a stone cold killer.

Big shot after big shot. Clutch plays. Better effort on defense than now. I get game 6 against the clippers happened and the horrendous game 5 against the warriors but that season I truly thought harden had arrived. Those first two games against golden state, he was on another level.

Then last year happened and now this ****. What the hell happened to this guy? I thought he'd gotten it together. But this season he was absolutely abysmal in crunch time. The ball got so sticky. So predictable. Turnover after turnover after turnover. I was saying all season that **** needed to stop. How does such a 'smart iq player' make the same mistake over and I over again?

Against OKC, he had a good balance between attacking and facilitating. He was pretty solid. He absolutely dominated game one against the Spurs. The way we played that game I thought we were going to cause some serious problems.

What the hell was he doing last game? Seriously what the hell? I am so disgusted I can't even get the thoughts into words. It just makes zero sense. And then today. Absolutely pathetic.

I have been one of your biggest supporters but the last two games completely eroded all of my trust in you. Your mental game is declining rapidly. Get your head on straight. See someone. Something is a miss with harden somewhere. It just doesn't make sense.

Come on, be critical but let's not overeact he is the best player we have had since Tmac/Yao......

Every champion has to walk through the fire to fee their hunger....

It is on fire now for James.

its time like this where I appreciate the 99ers a ton. You @tinman and @Rocket River are all giving very reasonable posts. we all have the right to be pissed off and be disappointed and say we need to get better but some of these threads/posts are ridiculous. If we think with a level head, do any of us really want to tank and become irrelevant with no playoffs for the next 5-10 years?

This team will never go all the way with Harden as it's key player! He has way to much quit in him, this guy does not posses what all elite players have . That extra gear, that killer drive to go beyond when you body says, hey I'm done. James does not have it, he is a great regular season player, that's it.

Someone call the Pope. A miracle is being performed as I agree with DD.

It is OBVIOUS that the last 6 quarters of the season will be the most glaring because they are the most recent and is the bad taste in our mouths that we will be stuck with all summer long, and in every big national TV game this will be brought up.

But... if he quit. How in THE HELL did we get here in the first place? Did EG average 29 and 11 per game all year long? Did Ryno score 2 50 point triple doubles? Was it Pat Bev tossing those oops to Clint all year long? Was it Clint who got to the line 10+ times a game to keep putting points on the board for us in games?

I get it. We are ALL feeling this. And as it is apt for CF's to do to wear their feelings on the boards, we should have a chiropractor on staff here, because there are so many knees that jerk after losses let alone season ending debacles such as this. CF's need knee replacements.

And the sad(der) thing is that it is not even day 1 after the season. Threads like this will get... (gulp) worse.

We've endured lots of worse seasons than this one and actually worse playoff loses. The series wasn't that bad. You didn't see that Scottie Pippen debacle vs the Lakers

You guys want Demarcus cousins as our star?

Sorry. This still holds nothing on Scottie Pippen.

What a stupid thread. A year ago the Rockets were a .500 team. They bounced back to a 55 win season, and lost to the #2 seed in the second round in 6 games. They probably overachieved, and the team needs to get better.

Disappointing to not advance further? Sure. But in the pantheon of Rockets playoff failure, this doesn't even register. This is only the third time we've been out of the first round in the last 20 years! This is what progress feels like. It's slow and sometimes painful. You take two steps forward, one step back. We actually have a superstar and an identity now. Why throw it all away to take a crap shoot in the lottery?
