Yup. that 1st rounder to get rid of Brewer's contract is almost like a 2nd round pick since it will be the 29th pick. And he got Lou Williams for free in exchange. You can buy a 2nd rounder for $2 million dollars. That's what the Warriors do that, buy those 30's pick for $2 millions from cheap teams like the Bucks. So the Rockets basically gave the Lakers $2 millions to get rid of Brewer and received Lou Williams back. And Lou is on a cheap $7 million contract for next year.
Everyone has to back away from the table at some point. Maury could probably swing a deal like Lou Will while he's in the buffet line.
A lot of us was saying the entire year we needed another big as insurance for Capela and Nene. After the Bogut pursuit falls through Morey sits on his fat ass and decide not to pick up a veteran big that was available to be picked up by a playoff team. MDA is not going to play the young guys so we left playing small ball trying to guard Aldridge and Gasol in the paint, just f**** stupid.

After all the crap we gave okc about being a one man band, turns out we're built the exact same way. The difference is Westbrook produced every single game. Meanwhile, the Spurs can go without Leonard and without Parker and they are still a machine. Rockets need to think real hard about their philosophy here.

Morey is a dumbass, anyone watching the Rockets this year knew that we need a backup Center who can play Nene's minutes if he goes down but Morey just refused to pick anyone up. Instead he signs a d-league dunk champion(lolwut). Capela is soft af, you never know when he's going to quit on you like game 5 OT. Nene is great but he's injury prone and old so the obvious choice was to pick up another C OR develop Montrezl but instead Montrezl is just in the dog-house the entire last half of the season for god knows why.
Morey should have signed or traded for a backup big when Capela broke his leg. MDA managed Nene's minutes well but it was obvious he didn't trust Montrezl all year. Even while healthy we were abused by legit bigs all season.
