And what is most important to Trump and the WH? Conway: We didn’t 'lose the messaging war' over Comey’s firing http://thehill.com/homenews/adminis...dnt-lose-the-messaging-war-over-comeys-firing btw, Conway also played the sexist card on Fox News (natch)... Of course, Spicer also faced sexism when press people roll their eyes when he says unbelievable things too...
How such a mentally-inconsistent person was elevated to such an important position will be a tale for the history books. And his voters see fit to call liberals "snowflakes"? They voted for him because he whispered sweet, third-grade-reading-level nothings into their ears.
I would be interested in knowing if this is true. Comey testified under oath that the investigation was happening. I'm guessing that was after this dinner he had with Trump. I get why Trump would be mad at being lied to but the lie itself should have been seen as such a big deal that he couldn't fire the guy. It would look awful. It's funny to think about how awkward a dinner it would have been if Comey told trump that he was being investigated. I wonder if they would have had the nicest and most beautiful cake you've ever seen.
Where was Conway, anyway? Some former Soviet neuro-lab in Ukraine? (I'm just asking the question. Smart people are talking about this.)
It's too bad this little mini-drama will be overshadowed by the bigger controversy going on lol. This was a frequent tactic of left leaning female commentators for years. Any dismissal by a right wing pundit was sexism.
Don't know what this 'under investigation' really means. Seems meaningless to say one is not. The FBI is investigating Trump's campaign. At any moment a piece of evidence could show up directly linking Trump to a crime, and then the investigation is all about him. Seems like perhaps the difference between a 'suspect' and a 'person of interest.' "No, Mr. President, you are not under investigation, but please surrender your passport."
Fortune Magazine maps out the evolving Trump White House story on who decided what when... How the White House Has Changed Its Tune About Why President Trump Fired James Comey Conway outright lying: Spicer outright lying: Sanders re-spinning the story: Trump's deepened respinning of the story: http://fortune.com/2017/05/11/white-house-james-comey-fired-different-explanations/
Did they just admit this? White House: Removing Comey will help bring Russia investigation to end http://www.cnn.com/2017/05/11/politics/comey-fbi-investigation-russia-sarah-huckabee-sanders/
I think a lot of people were angry when Comey came out with all that mess right before the election. But Obama kept him because obviously he thought the man was good at his job despite this. My point is that people can change their mind.
Don't care too much about the timeline of when it was the DOJ's choice vs. Trump's choice. They're disorganized and incompetent. I already knew that. I also knew, even when they were throwing Rosenstein under the bus, that this was all Trump. Assuming the story is true that he threatened to quit over being thrown under the bus, I give kudos to Trump for absolving him and taking ownership of the decision. Sometimes, he does the right thing. I think you're supposed to understand that as the FBI finalizing their understanding and having a complete picture. Not that the investigation would be cut short and left inconclusive. Not that we would know if the investigation was really complete or not when they shut the books.
At this point things can not get more transparently incompetent. There is no damn way this administration will last. Freaking morons all of them. Idiocracy should be shown on CSPAN or perhaps every news channel in its entirety.
Pretty sure Obama kept him because it'd look like political retaliation if he fired Comey. But, do agree with the sentiment more generally. Even if you still think Comey should have been fired, you can still be bothered with how this went down and why.
Can't wait to see how space ghost and others try to defend this or deflect and try to blame the left for everything
STFU. Hillary was more than guilty when she was still under investigation to you I'm sure. I'm sure back in May when the FBI was still investigating you said "it's taking too long...no evidence yet provided halfway through a classified investigation, she must be innocent". Trump is under investigation in three seperate investigations. Those investigations are just now getting supeonas as reported the other day. Just because you didn't get a conclusion today doesn't mean that he's not still being investigated. It doesn't mean he's guilty but it doesn't mean Democrats are going to play stupid and fall for your technique of downplaying in order to help suppress on behalf of your King of whom you serve. Oh also he's clearly not obstructing justice in those investigations. Something innocent people NEVER do. Just stop with this GOP talking point of "where's the evidence he's guilty". You are a Hannity parrot who can't make up your own intelligent thought piece to the current situation.
