Tmac's body needed better core, better upper body to finish, he was good but not great at finishing with contact. He avoided contact with his elite athleticism in his prime. At least in Houston it seemed that way. Giannis needs to get work done there.
3 threads with dumb titles in the same sub-forum about the same guy is one too many for me. Posts don't bother me at all, post what you want when you want, but when someone actually makes THREADS, I get annoyed - maybe it's just me. Reported. Maybe something happens, maybe it doesn't. Just letting you know it was ME. Continue.
Imagine T-Mac playing with Shaq and Pau Gasol in their primes surrounded by really good vets and former all stars his entire career and one of the GOAT coaches in a city that actually cares about winning and have loyal and loud fans that cheer their team from tip off til the final buzzer.
Well, you won't hear any disagreements from me on this since I think Kobe is one of the most overrated superstars to ever play the game, same as Tmac. Kobe never made it out of the first round without Shaq or Gasol/Bynum. He needed elite bigs to carry him to championships. Kobe won 2010 Finals MVP in the Celtics series despite Gasol carrying him the entire way with his rebounding and post dominance. Kobe jacked 6/24 from the field in game 7 of that series and the Lakers still won!!!!! Kobe was always a fake superstar that was carried by a superior organization, everyone knows this. Kobe got lucky, Tmac didn't. Doesn't change the fact that neither one of them are capable of winning without being carried by superior players.
Kobe didn't get lucky. He was smart in building his brand just like LeBron. Kobe and his agent let the league know he wasn't going to play for anyone other than the Lakers. If he was a Hornet his whole career, he'd be remembered for his proper place in league history as a Dominique Wilkins level player. Pau Gasol led the Lakers in WS in the regular season and playoffs both of those back to back titles with Kobe. Kobe should arguably have only 1 FMVP with 5 rings thanks to dominant front lines. But, Kobe at least was a killer. And he gets to rewrite history and tell everyone that the Hornets didn't want him and he made them pay....rrright. LeBron was smart in that he formed teams with other all stars in a conference that has been garbage his whole career. He would be nothing if he didn't have at least 2 other all stars on his team + countless role players and former all stars just like Kobe had. LeBron's crowning achievement as a leader of a non super team was taking an 07 Cavs team past a 40 win team in the first round, a 40 win team in the 2nd round and an over the hill Pistons without Ben Wallace and Larry Brown("BUT THE PISTONS WERE THE #1 SEED!!!" With 53 pathetic wins...) If those CAVS were in the west, they would have been a 6th seed...and guess who they would have faced in the first round...the Spurs and an ass beating sweep. "LeBron can carry a bunch of nobodies to the championship." My ass.
Sugar t***! The deal's been laid out - but is it enough ? Harden is someone who runs out of gas against playoff defenses, makes way too many mental mistakes due to fatigue, and in general has too much of a workload for a guy with a Shaq esque stamina, not Kobe. Were you embarrassed to see the Rockets get obliterated by a bunch of 40 year olds in overtime with Kawhi sitting on the bench? Probably not, because your entire life has been one, big, embarrassment. http://bbs.clutchfans.net/index.php...-the-iron-is-hot-trading-da-b-fo-da-g.282001/ You need real athletes with killer instinct. James is a talented guy, a great offensive weapon, but not someone who can take over and dominate when you need him to. He's too run down by then. LBJ MJ Kobe From someone who knows what it takes . . . the guys dynasty's are made of.
