Harden has the best supporting unit the Rockets have ever put together.

If he can't do it with this group, he will never be able to do it.
Time for us to stop glorifying Harden as a generational superstar, he's no LeBron, he's no Kobe, he's no MJ (and even then these dudes never did it by themselves, but probably would have been able to take advantage of the crazy supporting cast the Rockets have).

Pair him up with a second star because you can't rely on this dude to be as consistent as those three.

I still believe in him, but not as a lone star on this team.

MDA screwed up the rotation.that was problem number one.

I think the Rockets win by 15 but for that.

You can't play a 7 man rotation in a dog fight of a game that goes into overtime. They were out of gas at the end.

7 man rotation for 53 minutes @ game #92 is a tough one to condition for.

i agree but none of those guys did it by themselves either.

the rockets right now are similar to the lebron cavs right before he went to the heat and we seen how that ended and harden is nowhere near lebron.

the truth is the rockets are a 1 superstar team and we need another 1 or 2 to truly be contenders.

paul goerge would be perfect for this team but he doesn't care about winning and just wants to go to la for the lifestyle.

Especially when you are purposely not calling TOs to help gas the spurs.

Dan Tony said they were tired. Says he's not sure if he will expand rotation next game.

4 starters played 40+ minutes. Capela & Ryno played 35. Lou played 25 and played badly again.

harden looked drunk, but d'antoni should not have ran just 7 players out there tonite, especially playing smallball. he lost this game plain and simple. we should have won by double-digits. pringles F'd Up

I was ready to pin everything on D'Antoni for this reason. Playing a 7-man rotation was clearly a huge mistake and the primary reason the Rockets couldn't finish off a team that was the walking dead even without considering their best player was hobbling on one leg. If it weren't for the idiotic 7-man rotation, Rockets would have won this one going away in the 4th.

However, James Harden was so awful it seemed like he was deliberately sabotaging the game. We've all seen him go full r****d, but this was on another level completely. If Harden had sat out the 4th quarter, Rockets would have won in regulation. His OT performance was one for the ages.

Harden will never live down this game. IMO, it defines his season now.

Bottom line: I blame Harden more than D'Antoni. Both guys really let the team down tonight.

The sad part is there are at least 3 guys on the bench he could just try

MDA stopped trusting half his team when the playoffs started, even guys who played regular minutes all season long.

7 man rotation isn't going to cut it.

Harden was great and the clearly got tired.

There were opportunities to rest him. Remember the end of the 3rd?

Dantoni could have given him an extra minute of rest after the Rockets lost the ball with 3.9 seconds left. Instead he left him in for what...defense? And Simmons hit a 3 anyway.

Also could have used some timeouts in OT when it became obvious the Rockets had no legs and no ideas on offense.

This loss is on both if you ask me, but in the end the players are on the court...

So Di'Antoni forced Harden to turn the ball over and go hero? I think not. The tired excuse is laughable.

What message do you send to players who grind it out during the regular season...only to be bench figurines in the playoffs...Absolutely zero reason why Dekker and Harrell cant spell a few minutes for Ariza, Capella respectively.

MDA needed to call a timeout to settle everyone down. Remind them to run the offense. How does Harden score zero points in OT with no Kwahi on the floor?! Mind blowing.
