Give me Kurt Thomas and Ron Artest and then we would have ourselves a team! Run with Steve at the point; slide JJ to the two with Pike coming off the bench; the always nasty Ron Artest at the sf; Kurt Thomas at the four and Yao Ming a C. Now that is a team. I like the way Cato is playing but KT has more range at the four and is equally as impressive at disturbing the peace and grabbing boards in the paint! Artest and JJ are virtually interchangable at the 2 and 3 with Artest taking the more athletic player defensively. We get younger, more physical, better defensively inside and out and Mobley's scoring could be made up. Send Cato to New York to split time with Mutombo at the center and Mobley to Indiana. (Genericly speaking)
Give me garnett, Mcgrady, and Shaq and now we have a better team Steve Mcgrady Garnett Shaq Yao send the rest of the team to the lakers, wolves and orlando
egn, how are they? Free-agents? Trade-exceptions? Restricted or not? What's the details? Just wondering. I actually like JJ's game. I hope that Malick becomes our PF. I'm glad we got him in our arsenal.
It's called a joke. O and btw If i was New York Even with the great play of Cato, i would never trade for him at the price of probably the second best player on the team... no way would anyone in their right mind trade Kurt Thomas For Cato, unless it was a 3 way trade, and we would probably have to send some picks, and since we dont have any, that is why i don't think it is possible.
At first I wanted to stick with this team, but we have no liability at the PF position. I heard Sheed is on the block and it would be amazing to have Steve, Sheed, Yao on the same team.
I think the wily genious that is egn was inferring that we could package our sizzling hot commodity, Moochie Norris (who we've also considered sending to the Magic for Tracy McGrady) in the deal with Cato. This would thereby give us all the bargaining leverage with Scott Layden, who at the thought of regaining the support/respect of Knick fans, would probably also throw in Allen Houston along with the Knicks draft picks until 2012. Personally, I thought the Moochie-McGrady deal was good, but ... that egn. He has upstaged us all yet again.
Good in theory, but not too sure we should add another off-court distraction to this team. Although maybe it would be good for MoT to have a weed buddy.
Right now, Kurt Thomas and Ron Artest are the best players on their respective teams. Each one is a stud player on his squad. We blew it. Should have done these trades in the offseason. ------------------------------- Yeah, that's exactly the trades I wanted --- all of last year and all through the offseason - while we sat on our "assets". That team would strike fear into the enemy. Those boys are crazy and will kick ass. This team is a little weak. We need some grit. In a perfect world, we could get both and keep Cato. That team would be tough.
Well, I suppose it could still happen - Cuttino and Griff for one of them and trade exception for the other. Just don't see it right now. Bleh.
Sheed seems like a decent pickup. Sign him for the short term. See what happens. Good chemistry with Francis and Yao? As far as his on-court play (temper)... He seems to "blow his top" when the pressure is put ALL on him. He would have to realize that it's not all on his shoulders (Yao and Francis carry most of the load). Sheed got a technical foul called on him last night, but then cooled it off after that. That's good. In the past he would get two technical and get thrown out. He ended up with 25pts,11rbs,4asts,2bks in 44 minutes.
