I wouldn't consider Draymond Green a superstar. He benefits from playing with 3 big time players. I doubt he would have any real impact on a team built around him.

Feel sorry for KD instead. Presumably he thinks he should be taken seriously as a superstar. He's like Kramer at karate practice.

i'm so glad kevin durant decided to ruin basketball. i was getting tired of competitive series and excitement. better to prove you aren't all that great by just winning easily with a stacked team than actually make basketball competitive. the east has done it's best to ruin basketball by having morons run every team over there, but at least we always had the west. golden state is so damn boring. am i supposed to be excited durant just scored 38 or whatever to beat the jazz? in a game you didn't really think the jazz were ever really going to win because eventually golden state's talent would just overwhelm and curry or klay or someone else would hit enough shots that it wouldn't take any sort of miraculous play from durant to win?

how is it even fun for them? absolutely no one is increasing their legacy on this team. if anything all they did is admit they needed to ridiculously load their team to beat lebron.

Draymond on the Warriors is a superstar. Draymond on most teams would be a superstar. If he had nobody who could break down the defense then yeah, his impact is less.

But if you put him on the Rockets, Blazers, Jazz, Spurs, Clippers or Thunder, those teams would all be way better. We're talking about a generational defender and then a great playmaker at the 4/5.

I honestly feel that the Warriors are ruining the NBA for me. Today, the Jazz played great and they are a good team and it just frankly doesn't matter. It isn't the same as Lebron in the East because he beat shitty teams. Now, you can do everything right and build a great team and will still be probably swept by the Warriors.

    Go Lebron I guess

I thought it was funny when Durant was talking to that fan. Whatever was said visibly got under his skin. What do you expect from a guy who is so soft he has to join a pre built superteam? My money is on something along those lines was said to him. What a baby. Hilarious

Good for you guys watching the playoffs closely. I basically only watch Rockets games

This **** is dumb AF. Both Cavs and Warriors will reach the NBA finals with no more than 2 lost games in their entire playoff run.

Yeah agreed it's annoying. Well on the bright side Cavs vs Warriors will be a damn war.

You seem to weirdly think that they should care about what's important to you more than what's important to them.

Durant doesn't care about creating balance in the West any more than any other player has ever cared about that. To expect otherwise is stupid. As for their legacies, no one looks less at the old Lakers or Celtics teams for being loaded with endless hall of famers. ti's not remotely going to hurt their legacies, and even if it does, it's their right to not care about that.

People forgot how great Draymond played without Curry for most of the playoff last year. Raymond would have won the MVP if Klay and Curry didn't stink. They said Green couldn't play would out Curry, he proved them wrong by being the best Warriors in the playoff last year

This was the KD game. He finally made his mark on the warriors and will feel more a part of the team than ever before.

Nor should they. However, if the HOF players from the Lakers JOINED the HOF players from the Celtics, it might be a different story. That's what happened this year with KD and GS.

LOL @ the notion KD doesn't care about his legacy. Yeah, ring-chasing on a 73-win team definitely screams "I don't care about my legacy".

aren't you now just thinking i should care more about what they want than what i want? i don't really care what they want. i can only speak as a fan of the sport about what i want. legitimate competition, like what we've seen for most of the past 30+ years is nice. the warriors have ruined that presumably because kevin durant has heard all of the criticism of his lack of "ringz" and cares about it enough to forego proving his greatness just to get a cheap ring.

of course they don't have to care about it. i have just yet to notice many professional athletes in any sport who don't care what other people think. who don't "read the papers" and look at tweets and say "nobody believe in us" and yearn for respect at seemingly every opportunity. maybe when kevin durant said he was tired of being second, it wasn't about craving the respect of being first and being considered the best, maybe he just really likes how shiny a trophy looks. but something tells me he craves the validation that every other athlete does, and hell, that practically every other person does.

as for whether he cares, why would i care? part of sports is debating legacies and accomplishments. if it's not, then you're just watching a bunch of people you don't know and will probably never even meet throw a ball through a hoop and saying "that was nice, what's for dinner." if you have no emotional connection to arguments/debates like that or to the history of the game, i guess that's your right but it would seem to take something away from the experience of following sports. as someone who does, and as someone who has pretty much always rooted for kd, i wanted kd to be in those conversations. i wanted him to comeback this year and overcome warriors. hell, i might have even been happy if he beat lebron. instead he just cheapened it. for me as a sports fan.

but you're right, if he doesn't care like everyone else seems to, then i guess good for him that he can do a small amount of work and then call himself a champion without anybody respecting it except maybe some people 20 years from now who will just see the ring and forget the circumstances.

At least in the East, the other teams suck so I don't feel weird about it. Like the Celtics being the 2nd best team? What a joke of a conference.

But in the West, the Rockets, Spurs and Jazz are all really solid teams. Healthy Clippers too. Memphis is probably as good a playoff team as the Celtics IMO.

And none of it matters because lol Warriors.

    Good news for the Rockets!!!

Heyward averaging 30 points the last 2 games and Jazz still lose double digits. He knows he needs to play with Harden to get a ring. He would be our KD on the Rockets. He will get easy open shot and 1 on 1 playing with Harden, just like KD never gets double team.

Trade Ryno to the Nets or Magic for 2nd round pick and sign Heyward as our KD
