This is for anyone that has been to the Toyota Center...

If a game starts at 7:30, how early do you have to get to the Toyota Center in order to get a space in the parking garage. If the garage is full, where do you park and how much does it cost?

    Thanks

I would park over by the downtown district well before the game and have dinner at one of the restaraunt/bars. It's about a 6 block walk, then walk back after the game and enjoy the new downtown atmosphere instead of suburban flight. Check out http://www.marketsquarehouston.com for example or flyingsaucer or Shay Mc Elroy's, Zula, Cabo's, La Carafe, St. Pete's, F2, Sambuca, Bossa, Mia bella etc.

I think it's only for high-priced ticket holders too . . . lower level type stuff. I wasn't asked about the garage when I bought my cheap season tickets.

Check this out, there is a parking garage in the city club, both me and my girlfriend have parked their twice for two games already this season. It only costs 5 dollars to park there, and you dont have to worry about bums messing with your car. Speaking of bums, what do you guys think of those derelicts in the park across the street?

You can park free on the street after 6, and just be sure you move the car after about 7 AM the next morning or you will get ticketed. Don't park on Travis between 4 PM - 6PM or you will get towed.

The garage, unfortunately, is only for season ticket holders with passes. I prefer street parking but there are plenty of surface lots within a few blocks.
