Doug Collins did a pretty good job when you look back on his record. Plus that Washington team was never expected to make the playoffs and he kept them in contention.

JVG is bringing some love into the Rox' family. Let's enjoy it. Collins, BTW, on two wheels, was one of the all-time greats. He seems ill suited for coaching, but is an excellent analyst.
If you evaluate the comment objectively, it's absolutely TRUE. Are we the 3rd or 4th best team in the West RIGHT NOW? Yes. The presumed big 5 in the beginning of the season: Lakers are obviously pretty awesome, what impresses me so much is how every starter on that team is an awesome passer. We are clearly not as good. Spurs minus Duncan and Parker? Won't be able to play the Lakers tight every night... though they showed lots of heart. We're better right now. Minnesota is sub .500, the team has not gelled. We are better right now, though I don't know about a head to head matchup. Sacramento, I must say, is always good no matter how many injuries they have. So they are probably better than we are. Dallas, they don't look sharp at all -- when Antoine Walker shoulders the scoring load... that's not good. Put up a nifty 71 against TORONTO last night. Without Nash, we are better. Other's? Pheonix is 1-3, Utah --> do you think they will win 75% of their remaining games with Matty Harpring as their go to guy?, Portland? I don't know, sometimes they are good. But anyway my point is hell yeah at this moment the Rock are one of the three best teams in the Western conference.
One of the things we were unable to do last year was beating the Mavericks. Until we beat the hell out of Dallas on Thursday, I'll reserve some of my happiness.
They better play a lot better with or without Mr Nash to beat us. I like how everybody talks about who is missing on their team and never factor in that we have been missing folks too.
I'll be there in person cheering our beloved Rocets on in the behind enemy lines at the AAC. Hopefully the Rockets will bring their A game.
we owe the mavs big time. they whipped us and laughed at us last year. hope we can shut their offense and their mouths down. they look pretty sloppy thus far. i want to beat them mercilessly and show no emotion, like it's no big deal tearing them up. wouldn't that be sweet.
that's great what DC said, but I think we all know its way too PREMATURE, only 4 games and counting..but I cant complain. I hope we break out this season with alot of winning streaks. Id like the Rox to strike fear in their opponents, much like the lakers and mavs do on paper. in order to do that the rocks gotta get the mavericks monkey off their back it'll be a good showdown thurs cant wait.
