I heard on 610 that both AG and Piatowski (sp?) are both a few days away. I don't expect to see either playing on Saturday, though I could be wrong.
Once you go on IR, you have to stay for at least 5 games. Both will be eledgible to play after the Orlando game, but I don't know when they will be ready to play.
the wordis they are already ready to play but must wait until after the 5th game of being on the injured list.
That's great to hear that both of them are about ready to come back. Perhaps we can ease them back in the Miami game next Tuesday so they can be ready for the Dallas and Phoenix back to back games later next week. I am very anxious to see Pike in our offense, spreading the floor with Yao in the post and to see Pike's post entry passes. It will be interesting to see what happens with Nachbar's minutes when Pike and AG get back.
I'm pretty sure Pike will be cleared to play after the 5th game. The reason I say that is because Pike was on the bench at the New Jersey game, if he wasn't ready to play he probably would of stayed in Houston to rehab, so I think he's ready to go.
I definitely hope to see them eased in a bit before Dallas....especially AG. Guys love to play hard against their old teams.
I am looking forward to having those guys back but I am not looking forward to seeing Boki or anyone in the current rotation drop out. We are in a good position right now and the biggest need right now, as I see it, is to reduce Cat's minutes, and reduce our TO's. Certainly Pike can help us keep our lofty shooting % but I am anxious to see how his perimeter defense is and if it causes our lofty def fg% to go up. I am a believer in long rotations. It is the best fuel for 48 mins of intense, high energy bball on both sides of the ball, and it helps protect against fatigue and related injuries.
Yep. Didn't he lose 12 pounds also? Wonder what effect that will have on him. I can't wait to see how he fits in.
