expecting a much closer game obviously but if the rockets are able to steal another one in SA, they will crush any confidence SA has left.

start out slow like we did in the okc games, we eek out a win.
start out fast and confident like we did on Monday, we'll be in a better situation.
    got to stay poised guys

Spurs will obviously play a lot better. Really looking to see how the Rockets respond to their adjustments. Hopefully we do not take our foot off the gas. Even if we lose, I'd be satisfied if we are locked in and give ourselves a chance to win.

The Rockets have responded in these "critical pivotal" games more often than not from what I recall. The fact the Rockets are on the road for game 2 in my opinion is strangely a good thing. Being on the Road against the SPURS no less and with a golden opportunity to stomp them, the Rockets I have a feeling will be ready to answer the bell.

This Rockets team has proven time after time dating back to the regular season that they've won games when it mattered. Whether it's 2nd night of a back to back where they had to get a win to A) prevent a 3-game skid and/or B) to maintain their gap between other teams from gaining ground to over take their current seed. In the same way, Rockets came out and played as well as any team possibly could in Game 1 ON THE ROAD to take it.

Against the Spurs especially (in particular), I have to believe the Rockets understand the importance of taking game 2 now that they've taken game 1. Splitting is a conventional mindset that really applies in the very beginning of a series when a road team plays the odds of having 2 chances to steal homecourt. Splitting is especially the mindset if a road team loses game 1.

But when a team wins game 1, no team with a championship mindset will settle and just lay down in game 2 because "we got this". Now we all know the Rockets are certainly susceptible to become complacent during games and even "Schedule losses". But I just don't feel this game 2 is in that category.

Against the Spurs, the Rockets have to be thinking they are really down 1-0 right now instead of up in actuality. Because SA is more than capable of taking a game or 2 in Houston. I think the Rockets will focus and go for the knockout tonight. If SA wins in spite of it, good for them.

I want this one even more than the first one. This could be the "dagger" from which it will be hard to recover. I know we won two in Dallas and ultimately got blown out in game seven, but this is not the same team. If the Rockets leave SA 2-0, they will be moving on.

Another case in point, game 3 of the OKC series. Rockets did not play well but they did play hard. OKC just played a bit better to win game 3 in spite of the Rockets' effort (albeit last second missed Harden 3). What happened next? Rockets had some pressure to win game 4 in OKC after OKC just gained some confidence getting a win in game 3.

So Rockets again answered the bell and took a pivotal game 4 in OKC to go up 3-1 as opposed to the world of a difference 2-2 result. They do show up when it matters.

Win or lose this team has accomplished so much when so little was expected of it. All the while playing some of the most entertaining basketball in the Rockets history.. Keys are pretty much the same as game 1, Pick and roll with the bigs to expose their poor interior defense . Hit the threes and move the ball. I think we got another win in San Antonio.
