There were times when the Spurs were also eliminated in 2nd or 3rd round.

Yeah, the Spurs are going to play like their season depends on it. Down 0-2 going into Houston would be nearly insurmountable. I hope we stay this sharp.

Can someone kindly recap what Nene did to get ejected? I saw him and a SA player getting into it but it didn't look like anything initially. But, I missed all the good replay angles and what actually happened. Did Nene clock him or something? I

Rockets making all players obsolete from opposing teams.

IF we get to the WCF, and IF we get to the Finals, it'll be "Durant, Curry, Thompson, Green didn't have enough help on offense" or "Steve Kerr was injured".

What I saw was a bit of a scrum that amounted to nothing much. Nene gave the Spurs ******* a little shove on the shoulder close to the chump's neck. It was all absurd. No-calls all around would have made perfect sense to me. Maybe other folks saw more than I did.

You could tell POP sent in his thugs to try and change the game and get into our heads.
As soon as that crew came in the game came to a standstill with whistles, reviews and techs.
Got ugly for a while. Players getting kicked out and players getting kicked IN. LOL
Dedmond was up in James' face trying to talk smack when Nene intervened. Nene gets tossed
and then a few minutes later Dedmond is tossed from shooting free throws! Never seen that before
Very uncharacteristic of a POP SA team. But he didn't seem to be upset about it.
The fact that he wasn't tells me that he sent those guys in to stir things up
I"m expecting more physicality next game and more attitude from SA after being humiliated

Pop conceded this game early on. I wouldn't trust it. Would rather hold his cards and change strategy Game 2.

That being said the Spurs big men on an island against Harden is poison. Rockets finally played the game we knew they could and it came at the perfect time.

So if you're Pop, how'd you adjust defensively to guard the rockets in game 2?

i think a possibility is doing what the cavs are doing to toronto. Cavs are sending a double in a lot of situations to get the ball out of demar's hands and forcing others to make plays. Maybe Pop will see if other guys will continue to hit shots for us and attempt to get the ball out of harden's hands more often than not.

Off topic but if it's WB in this situation the 30+ shots are going up regardless of what a defense tries to do. #lowbballiq

No calls or double ejects. Nothing made sense about just ejecting a rockets player

Do they not have some 10 foot tall monstrosity on the bench to come in and kick down the paint out of nowhere

Wow, the Spurs board is in ugly meltdown mode. Meltdowns are to be expected, but there's just a bunch of ugly talk there (racist posts, calling Aldridge a "f*****," etc.). Guess the "class" Spurs organization doesn't include the fans.

Tough smart defense, and rebounding can make him lose confidence. Let's hope that we will come up to the challenge in Game 2.

Put Kawhi on Harden from the start. Trap hard on the pick and roll rather than switching a big onto him. If he's not feeling it, maybe start going under the screen and letting him shoot rather than penetrate.
