Problem is less about sustaining and more about consistently taking what the D gives us, which is what our PnR/P system is designed to do. They guard the 3pt shot, we take our chances driving to the hole against their bigs. Their best options are to: - Force Harden to shoot by going over picks, but that runs the risk of Harden getting hot and going supernova. - Play Dedmon/Bertans, but both are still young and one is very hotheaded. Desmon's 2nd T certainly didn't help him. - Double Harden at the perimeter and force the role players to beat them, but we have very good role players. The more important thing than sustaining our shooting is keeping up our D, especially when they make runs.
Rockets in 6 maybe. But Rockets in 7? These guys gonna pick the Rockets to beat the Spurs in San Antonio in a game 7? And they get paid for that.
so what? When the Rockets were down to the Clippers 3-1 back in 2015, Chuck said that he thought the Rockets were going to come back and win the series. That turned out well for us.
For most of his BB career Charles was outstanding. By the time he got to Houston, pretty good. As a talking head.... well, every Court must have a Jester.
