Sorry but the way we played and how they defend + have 4 bigs to throw at us, right now I see Spura in 5. Before the playoffs I thought Spurs in 7. POP and Kawhi will own Harden and MDA
That's the main thing that scares me against the Spurs. Blowing big leads and lapses on defensive, along with bad shots. With all of that being said, the Rockets win Game 1 and Game 7. The Spurs give us a little trouble and I dare say, I wouldn't be surprised to see us down 3-2 or even 3-1.
The key for The Rockets to win this series is to take a game from the first 2. If we go down 0-2 it's over. I don't think The Rockets can win a pivotal game 7 on the road and I sure as hell don't see them winning 4 games in a row to close it out in 6.
I don't see their bench beating our bench. Lou, Gordon, Nene will eat them up. We keep up the scoring with their starters, we let the bench do the work. I believe Anderson will light it up this series. He is a veteran and guarantee you he's been shooting threes all week long. He gets his shot on, the spacing will increase, allowing Our guards to penetrate.
i see alot of rockets fan that have little faith. U guys are over thinking it. We win if rockets play at thr pace that they were constructed to. We lose if they nut up n walk it up. Just let it fly. Run them out the building.
Just curious, how many of you had instances of "uneasiness" during the First Round with OKC? Yes I always believed the Rockets were the better team and frankly never thought the series had any other outcome than the Rockets prevailing in the Big Picture. However, after losing game 3, I felt a bit uneasy because I felt it was paramount for the Rockets to take game 4 to go up 3-1. I felt it was a bit of a daunting task for the Rockets to win game 4 after losing game 3. The pressure was on...in my opinion. It felt like a do or die situation. Having said all that, I'm excited for this Round 2 against the Spurs. But I feel the Rockets absolutely HAVE TO split these first 2 games to win the series. That's quite a bit of pressure on the Rockets as it is, but the "good" thing is the Rockets seems to be a much more resilient team on the Road in high stakes situations. Thoughts? David
My thoughts exactly. Winning game 1 and our home games would be great. I don't see them winning 3 in a row if they don't take game 1. Hope they're ready to bring it tonight!
We are going to make it loud Friday. They are trying to do what they did to the Suns when they were losing. Garbage player trying to get our players techs.
I voted Spurs in 7, but I think it will be Rockets in 6 or 7. That's because a regression to the mean means 6 50/50 games. Even if the Rockets only shot 25% from 3 instead of 45%, it still would have been a competitive game. It is a bad match-up for the Spurs, but you've got to think Pop will make some adjustments. Hakeem Olajuwon isn't walking through that door... still will be a tough series....
