I feel your pain. I'll be at a lacrosse tournament all day long. I think the Horns will win though I am inclined to agree that it'll prolly be a close game. I guess we'll see. Hook 'em!
Do they brainwash you people or something? Every other word is "Hook 'Em" and burnt orange is somehow fashionable. Military folks straight out of boot camp don't have that much enthusiasm towards their respective institution. But school pride is good. Pride is good. Viva Mexico cabrones!
Thanks TJ. I agree with p-gab - I never thought Nebraska should have been ranked as high as they were. Admittedly I don't know a whole lot though.
I'm so glad I only have to put up with the UT propaganda here...I'm sure I couldn't take it in College Station.
I'm going with 35-24 Texas. If this were in Austin, I'd feel pretty comfortable, to be honest. I don't think they're as good as we are - and Vincent Young is so damned good/dynamic that he makes up for a good bit of Greg Davis' stupidity. But it is on the road. And if OSU's offense plays their best... and their defense plays a very good game... they could win, and it wouldn't shock me.
Actually, you added the "big" part the second time around. I'll agree with that, but the guy is an amazing athlete, and is still only a freshman. He's got the arm strength, he just needs some time to work on his accuracy. Two years from now, he's the Heisman trophy winner and the potential number one pick in the draft.
Not the case today. When Vince has been allowed to pass, he has thrown well. I would like them to deincorporate the QB draw some. I'm glad that we are finally playing to a strength, but teams are already keying in on Vince. An injury is inevitable if he continues to run at this rate. Hook 'em!
Of course I'd like to see VY pass more than throw, but not this season. I think we had a pretty good balance though. If we would only throw downfield more, I'd say our offense would be scary..
I was actually at this game (rooting for the Pokes), and they looked good in the first half, but credit the UT coaching staff for making all the right halftime adjustments and coming out and bitsh slapping the Cowboys. Oh well, it was my first major college football game to ever attend in person and I had a blast! BTW, even though i was rooting for OSU, the upside down hook em horns thingie is SO played out.
