Neither can Ryan Griffin, but I would agree that I'm not too interested in Barnidge given that he probably wouldn't be THAT much better a receiving option as Griffin and he's considerably older and would probably be more expensive.

I wouldn't panic and over pay just yet. A good OL is a function of good coaching and synergy among the players. The Texans OL is actually loaded with high draft picks. Brown -1st, XSF - 2nd, Martin - 2nd, Allen - 2nd. Plenty of talent just a matter of getting the fifth guy who can be coached up.

well, XSF and Allen are high draft picks who have already spent some time in the NFL. Allen especially "is what he is" to some degree. Brown of course is great, but older--would be wise to have a good contingency vs. falling apart if he were to get hurt.
