Will be interesting to See how the Spurs play us. Will they chase us off the line and let harden beat them with Kw on them. Or defend the paint and let the other beat them.... they are equipped to do both very effectively. Heart says rockets in 6. Head says Spurs in 5-6. Let see and pray.
Confidence is key, we just went through an athletic #1 rebounding team who ran us from the 3 and still survived. That alone should give everyone a reason to believe we can pull this one out of hardens beard. Plus it doesn't hurt that harden practiced against the d league version of kawhi (roberson)
Harden will have to play both ends of the floor unlike the last series with Roberson. Harden better not be playing lazy D and making dumb turnovers this series for the Rox to win.
Coaching will be big. We know Pop can coach. Can MDA add some wrinkles in game 1 to steal a win? Will he make the right rotation calls. Against the Thunder it was easy for him. He had to maleness one move basicallly all series which was getting Clint and Ryno out of the game asap in Q3 game 4. Meanwhile Donovan was flopping around like a beached whale. How will this series turn out? And if I'm not mistaken last time MDA coached against the Spurs in the playoffs they had the series stolen from him with the Horry hip check and related suspensions. I'm sure he'd love payback.
I just want to see one play where Harden does the dance with Ginobili, unleashes a sick euro step as tribute, and the announcer goes, "¡Ay, caramba!"
GP combination is not done entirely. Parker and Ginobody are going to surprise. Mills too. Probably gameplan against them.
