I wanna know where I can find out info. on this, because I am doing a school article on Steve Francis, and I can't seem to find anything about this... I found a lot of info. about his Vancouver thing, but nothing about Charity/Donations. I wanna show that he isn't a bad guy. Could anyone please help? Thanks! ------------------
Most players (especially players new to the league) don't have established foundations, etc. Steve participates in Rockets charity events through the Clutch City Foundation, but many players prefer to keep their charitable pursuits out of the media. You can always call the Rockets offices and ask them. They could probably help. ------------------ "Don't waste it. We're here."
When I was at the Seattle game, he started playing with a bunch of little kids that were hanging out at the game. I can say that I was very pleased to see a famous multi-millionaire doing nice things for young fans like that. ------------------ Re-elect President Gore!
Hey, thanks! I e-mailed thier Web-Page from nba.com... sound good? Anyone else have stories like ZRB? I could use them as quotes... Thanks!! ------------------
Search on google.com for stuff like this. Use a search query like "steve francis" charity or a query like "steve francis" donation. (the quote marks are important: you want to search for "steve francis" as opposed to steve AND francis) I found a story about Steve signing limited edition Mattel dolls for charity and another about him donating money to the Thurgood Marshall Scholarship Fund. When he got drafted he donated 10 thousand to a charity in DC. ------------------ "Break off the block like Maurice Green" --- Steve Francis President of the Moochie Norris fan club.
"Growing up, Steve played ball in the D.C. area at Tacoma Park" Does that mean Washington D.C.? And the 10 Thousand he donated was to Washindton, D.C., too? ------------------
