Waaa waaa waaaa. Only thing I want to know is what was up with that sentinel flying through Neo towards the end? Only beef is the lack of screentime The Merovingian got. *********SPOILERS*************** It is kind of fishy considering the Architect said that they were prepared to accept levels of operation without the aid of human power. A bluff perhaps? Of course, you could also figure in that not many people are going to actually want to be "freed" to the real world in its current state. The peace is a win-win for the machines as not only do they no longer have to endure attacks and waste resources hunting down renegade humans, but they essentially get to keep their power source and probably only lose the minute fraction that reject the Matrix anyway. For the humans; if the Matrix is destroyed- boom, humanity's down to the relative handful at Zion. If the robot masters are gracious enough to free EVERYONE AT ONCE, who feeds the billions of of mouths on the now-barren planet? As the council guy from Reloaded points out, both sides need each other.
Sonic: If letting the humans go who wanted to go were that easy, then why did they have to reinvent the Matrix the previous five times? As they said, because the minority would soon enough become more and more powerful, so the machines had to essentially destroy Zion and "reboot" the program again. The machines/computers destroyed Zion for a reason everytime.... because the more people rebeled, the more it would become unbalanced. I still think revolutions should've been retitled... THE MATRIX: REGURGITATIONS
The inclusion of the nausitatingly excessive and unrealistic love between Neo and Trinity was the worst crime of this supposed action movie. The second major crime was that there was in fact NO philosophical or spiritual integrations such as 3814 speaks of. They in fact had some in the first Matrix and then proceeded, as Fatty Fat says, to piss of them. If you really believe that there is grandeur in the statement "No, but I believed..." then you are obviously playing defense attorney for a pathetic movie whose cult followers simply can't admit the carnage they have just witnessed. If you asked me last Friday if I thought the Texans were going to beat the Panthers I would have answered the exact same way and I doubt anyone would have pointed out the amazing philosophical significance.... The inclusion of so many useless subplots caused me to overthink the whole movie expecting things to tie in that never did. And the uncountable number of things that didn't make sense such as - Why the army Smith had amassed didn't even join in at the end... why the hell was he even building that army. And if Neo beat 300 Smiths in Reloaded why couldn't he deal with one?... As was previously stated why didn't the machines building a tall solar panal... the funny thing was alot of their towers were almost there... If Trinity had never seen the sun before then we see first sees it she would have been blinded by the pain of the light. If Neo brought Trinity back to life before... why couldn't he do it again? Because Trinity said that he couldn't? Why? Lame. Anyway that is enough for now.
********************SPOILERS************** Neo couldn't beat that one agent Smth because he was the one that took over the Oracle, thus creating a Super Smith. Because it wasn't in the Matrix. Neo was able to bring himself back in M1 and brought Trinity back in M2 and they were both in the Matrix at the time.
I thought the movie was great although I now have more questions then after I saw Reloaded. **** Spoiler************ I assumed the Frenchmans wife {yes she is HOT} was the "Mother" of the Matrix somehow after the Architect said the Oracle wasnt the Mother in Reloaded. I wish she had a bigger part. I do not understand why the machines didnt build a solar panel up above the clouds, unless they didnt realize it was sunny up above......a bit to simple, but who knows. I cannot understand why there was a new actress playing the Oracle and didnt quite understand the explanation. I will have to see it again, but I am not sure Neo was dead at the end. My friend who was with me said he saw him "twitching". I dont think Neo lost his battle with Smith because Smith and his army persihed and Zion was saved. Before Smith killed the Oracle he mentioned something about her being his Mother, did anyone understand this? How did the Oracle survive in Smith`s body? I have a sneaky feeling there will be a Matrix 4 Anyway, I had a great time at this flick and I give it a B+
In my best gay voice.... Hated it the first one was good. everything else was simply a ploy for our $$$ and ya know what. it worked. Including purchase of the first movie, and tickets to each film plus a second viewing of the first, I spend in the order of $60 on the Matrix. Enough religous references in there for you guys??
If the Wack. Bros. thought they were making the Star Wars of this generation, they failed more miserably than anyone has ever failed at anything ever in the history of the universe. I want my money back from all of these movies. With interest.
Before I read anyone's opinion of the movie, should I assume this thread is littered with spoilers? I won't see the flick until Friday.
I saw this last night and I freakin' loved it...Much more action and less dialoge than Reloaded... I can care less about critics because if you loved the first two, you'll love this... I'll probably go see this again this weekend... Agent Smith's Mother is XXXX, unbelievable...And you got to love the Frenchman and his hot wife...
Could they have made the religious symbolism more obvious? felt like i was being hit over the head with it. They didnt answer any questions, as most people have pointed out. Just a bunch of weakass answers and copouts. How exactly did Neo sacrifice himself in order to destroy smith? Did he just decide to blow up or something? The fighting mainly consisted of guys in mechs shooting machine guns at sentinals. The special effects were pretty good, but i got tired of them just shooting millions of sentinals.
thanks for not putting the "Spoiler" caption before you posted that. I was planning on seeing this movie saturday.
I'm sorry i forgot to put the spoiler thing. But if you're so looking forward to seeing the movie, you shouldnt read 90 posts into a thread like this. you really brought it upon yourself.
i read reviews that did not contain spoilers. I've heard a lot of critics reviews that rated the movie terrible. I wanted to see what others had to say. Anything that said "Spoiler" i didn't look at.
I guess as more people post their thoughts about the movie, sooner or later someone's gonna forget to put the spoiler signal. once again, sorry about the mistake.
