John Keegan, noted british military historian who has just written a new book on the use of military intelligence just appeared on Brit Hume's show and said he believes WMDs will be found in Iraq. He said there is no doubt the weapons existed, the mystery is what happened to them...Even Hans Blix agreed they were there, he just wanted more time to find them. i know many of us have been saying the same thing for along time, but it's nice to hear someone as prominent and respected as this make the point.
They may be eventually found. Nobody knows. I do have my doubts because, the first places they searched for them, would be the places they believed them likeliest to be. Thus they searched the places with the best intel indicators pointing in that direction. Everything else they search would have less intel pointing in that direction. So it seems to me that the longer they search the less likely it is that they are really still there.
