So how do feel about: - our defense on the three by WB and tip-in by Adams? - the last and 2nd to last shot by Harden - not calling a time-out On defense, we should've had Nene on Adams, no excuse! Ariza should've been switched on WB, had WB made it, then that's just that. Nene's size does not help in that situation. WB took a bad shot, but not securing the rebound is just inexcusable. To me both threes could've been better shots, but on the last one Harden was clearly tired+ 3 defenders on him so going in the paint would not have a much bigger chance of getting a good shot. Still I think with a good screen and some more poise, better shots could've been had. The not calling a time-out I get, but since Harden didn't push the ball too much, might have been a solid option. Cannot be too mad about it, just think we could've had a better shot. Still, we didn't deserve to win so in the end I think it's good we lost. I'm actually more upset with our game with 2-3 minutes left, Harden dribbling out the shot clock, almost losing the ball twice / thrice. Gotta be better. Yes Harden hit some shots then, but the whole time I felt like we weren't poised. Gordon rushed a three for the lead and forced another shot I believe. Lessons should be learned though, let's see if we come out ready from the start. This comeback **** is getting old. We played 1 good game and cannot just count on Russ shooting them out of it every game, he almost did it again last night. Also small ball is not really working, we need more than 13 minutes for Nene. Bad rotation with the way we shot the ball and how big OKC is. How you guys feel?
- the defense on the 3 was ok. defensive rebounding was a problem and we should have grabbed that board - i was not ok with the 2nd to last shot. i was ok with the last shot, down 2 away from home you go for the win. Rockets and Harden were tired, Bev ahd fouled out and had we gone to OT, Harden would have fouled out - again ok with not calling time-out. if coach AntoniO trusts Harden to make the right play, so be it. It works sometime slike against Denver and it falls just short other times
I am more concerned about the no calls and reffing during the game but . . . . . .. . I'm a Rocket Fan! Rocket River
I feel like Dekker was the biggest reason to regular season success and without him Rockets won't go far in the playoffs
You might want to include video. Can't remember how exactly the 3 by WB and tips-in by Adam went. But thumb up for the last 2 three points shots by Harden and the no time out.
Blaming Harden? Dude and Lou were the only reasons we had any shot to win that game. He was magnificent after a poor start in the first. Both the threes he took were good shots because they had the paint packed.Adams and Gibson were patrolling the paint like a couple of great white sharks and it would have taken a amazing drive to either draw a foul or score. Harden's 3 about 50 seconds earlier tied it all up before Adams offensive put back put them up by two. It's not like James was ice cold. You want to know why we lost? look no farther then Ariza. He is just putrid right now
Ain't doing this. Harden has earned the right to not be questioned on his decision making. We knew OKC would be locked in yesterday......we took it on the chin, and still almost knocked em out. Game 4 defense should be much more intense on our part, and I think we come out hot.
I would've liked to see Harden take the ball to the cup on that last possession. Just my preference though, I understand the thought process behind going for the win.
People need to take it easy, this was not meant to hate. Just wondering how you guys feel. Guess the internet will always be the same, cannot have a normal discussion without nerds judging, mocking or ******** on someone else...
Harden was in no mood for OT, and neither were the refs, apparently. Ah well, let's blow em out next game and wrap it up at home.
I liked Harden's decision for a three at the end. He was going for the dagger. He had a good look, it just came up short. I'm also fine with not calling a timeout there. We all know the play was going to be Harden for a three anyways so why call a timeout and let OKC, a strong defensive team already, make substitutions and draw up a play for it? I think the last minute was well coached other than not getting Ryno out of the game when Taj was eating him up.
Someone mentioned it in the game thread but both of Harden's misses weren't far off last night. Both of those 3's almost went in, it's nice to know his wrist is feeling better.
