I figured if I use his name in the title, his fans will definitely read this post: Here goes: I HATE YAO MING! If you want to read on, go ahead, but I have to warn you, my post contains nothing but reality. Why do I hate Yao Ming? You may ask. Simply put, I hate the guy because of his fans! I don't hate Chinese members on this board, but frankly, they're almost up there with Carrot Top, Orbitz Girl, and the Dell Guy. You know it, I know it, Yao Ming ain't GOD! He might have a bad shooting night or a good shooting night. But I don't want to see posts sprouting up blaming the Rockets for not feeding him the ball. How would you know when you didn't even what the ******* game? When Mooch, Francis, or EG has a bad shooting night, I see nothing but "trade" posts. When Yao has a bad shooting night, it's Rockets' fault. I'm getting tired of this sh*t! I know what you're trying to do, you're trying to enhance the Asian image in sports, but you're doing it the wrong way. In fact, what you are doing only hurts the image. Your action only to show that Asians HAVE no basketball skills that an average Asian center get more attention than he deserves. Yeah he might be tall and has a high FG% but in the court, he has absolutely no stamina. If you want to argue this point, don't even bother to reply. My point is NOT his skills. My point is about his fans. They definitely get on my nerve. When the guy gets 10pts and 11 rebs, his fans proudly announced a double-double. I think that's the most pathetic thing you can do for your Yao Ming. Maybe I shouldn't say that I hate him. I think he's a great addition to the young Rockets. His presence under the rim really changes the game. But PLEASE! Criticize his performance instead of covering it up - so that he can learn from his mistakes. Who knows, the guy might be reading our posts. I have no problem with people liking him. In fact, I think I liked the guy when this forum didn't have those so called Yao-Only fans. I think I like everybody in the team. Just right now, Yao Ming is not on top of the list. If you want Yao Ming to do well, you should be a fan to the Rockets because he's also a part of the Rockets. If you think it's a great night when Yao scores 30 points even if the Rockets lost, then you should go away because Clutchfans.net is for Rockets fans, not Yao Ming fans. So in the most polite way possible: GO AWAY! Before you spill out "who's this newbie that comes up here to talk sh*t." Well, I don't post much doesn't mean I'm a newbie. I'm a big Yao fan and at times I want to put a positive spin on everything he does but last night he made me angry. To me it appeared that if he wasn't the focal point for the offense then he just stood there. Defense I have no problems with him but there are times you just have to get involved on the offense and try harder. I used to have his mentality. Passive and non-aggressive and I don't see his attitude changing unless we start losing games. I was like that and I kept losing pick-up games and I couldn't take it anymore. I changed my entire game and I never looked back. Someone needs to give Yao a good elbow to the gut and split his lip. That always gets me going
That's the funniest logic I have seen. You hate your star players because they brought fans? Applying the same logic, you would bash Cleveland for drafting LeBron, and Denver for drafting Melo. Lakers should trade Shaq, Kobe, Payton, and Malone because they attract too many fans. Get real. Yao will be all-stars for years to come. Rockets has become a TV-darling because of Yao, not because of Francis and Cat. Toyota center is called Toyota center because of Yao. How many times ESPN has called Rockets road uniform chinese uniform?
