You are correct of course! If only Rudy hadnt forgotten ! When I say Rudy ball I am not refering to the period when Rudy was in control of the Team. I am refering to the more recent seasons when by default Francis was running the Team. So should I now start saying Rudy/Francis Ball as opposed to the Rudy/Hakeem Ball?

I think the problem is twofold.

    1) The selfishness of the guards, they've been doing that for years..and they don't appreciate the space Ming created for them and reward the big man..Most of the night, he's doubled. I kinda agree that once Ming scored 6 points in the first quarter, these guards think it's their turn and stop passing the ball to Ming. It's just painful to watch. And didn't they realize the the large crowd on the road is mostly because of Yao? If Yao dont' score, who the hell care about the Rockets outside Houston?

    2) Yao's own personality, he's not very aggressive. It might be a virtue to be so humble, but it's frustrating...

It's an ugly game even if they won last night over the Net. Look at the tourn overs, the bad shot, the ISO plays... ..

Rox is the same old, same old. I went to Rox games 5 time last year. But I am not going to pay to watching the same old , same
old. Outside shooting might work occasionally, that's it..

I don't think Yao will have a great future here in Houston, I gurantee he'll go to Laker or Knicks after his contract with Houston. Yao may be nice, but his agent is not.

Remeber my words, it will happen.

Why don't you show us your faith in your oppinion that Yao will leave and go be a Lakers or Knicks fan until he gets there. We don't need you here.

The sad thing is that people compare Yao to many other players and how can yuo compare Yao to others if others are taking 20hshots a game vs Yao 10shots agame?

I know a lot of people care more about team winning then stats but we all start liking a team through certain player(s). I mean I love seeing the team win games but as a fan, we would like to see Yao get the respect that he deserves. Sadly Yao is playing on a team with selfish players and he seems to be one of the most smart player that dont throw up bricks after bricks.

As a fan of the team Rockets and Yao, I want to see what his capable stats would be if he takes 15shots a game. I mean if the guy is an altimately 50% shooter, he should get the shots.

BUt who shuld we blame? I mean Yao is a nice guy and he play as a team to win. But deep down we all know he would like to have a nice stat sheet ranking up with the best. BUt right now we know he's raise in a different culture and respect is the main thing. that's why we don't see Yao taking over like he did in China since he's only been here for 1 year and 10 games. He knows that Steve consider that it is his team and Yao will not disrespect that until he earn he;s fully given a GO or earn it from his players and coach.

So at the moment we will just have to sit back and see how this is going to evolve and it isn't going to happen overnight.

By the way, its so damn obvious is that the PLAYERS don't have problem passing Yao the ball. I see JJ pass to Yao every opportunity while Mo, Cat and sometime Stevie never paid Yao any attention.

People keep on saying Yao isn't in position to pass but BS! JJ hit Yao all teh time. JJ is doing what JVG is telling him while most other players are padding their stats sheet and trying to be teh hero.

I have as little patience as anyone for the selfish play of our backcourt and lack of touches for Yao but I have watched all four games this year and I am very encouraged by the team's willingness to run the offense through Yao.

However, it looks to me that Yao is still not where he needs to be in establishing position in the post. I am thrilled to see that most trips down the court it appears the team is looking to Yao in the post but there have been several times that as a result of either (i) Yao not getting postion deep enough in the post, (ii) his inability to sufficiently screen of the defender for the post pass or (iii) because of bad spacing by the offense (which allows the defense to front Yao) the team is forced to swing the ball and look for something else.

Again, I see the Rockets buying into the system and I'm convinced that Yao will get more shots as they all become more comfortable with this offense.

JJ is not the problem. It's Steve and Cat.

Ming's talent is going to be wasted if he teams up with a bunch of childish, ungrateful, selfish and overrated street ball players who failed to make the playoff for 4 straight seasons and were so pathetic and almost forgotten by the city until Ming showed up last year.

The only shots Yao needs is nightly shots of Jim Beam to ease the confusion and annoyance you weird ass yao-only fans are causing him.

Rockets are nothing but a laughing stock the last many years. Even if they won two titles. who gave a damn?
Dallas and the Spurs are much more exciting ...

You think your Rockets would draw that much media attention if it's not for Yao? You guys are simply just using Yao without true respect. Keep bashing Yao and you'll kiss your sorry ass when he's gone ..

I won't expect to post here for long. Just felt sorry for the big man being treated so unfairly by the red-necks. You guys really don't know how to keep talents there, look at the Astro, the Texan, the Rockets. All stink up..period.

Welcome to the Lakers forum and see you there!
