It's true. for the past week or two, Steve has been the best PG in the league, no question.

Who cares if he is playing great, bottom line is we lost. A great player doesn't necessarily put up big numbers, he makes others better. Francis is still behing Kidd, Pazayton & Marbury as the best PGs in the league.
If Francis was 0-12 with 2 assist and 6 TOs and we won last night I would be happier than him putting up big numbers and losing.

PS - Holding Kidd to 16 assists is not exactly working a guy over.

Marbury? The nets are 21-43. Please. Payton? The Sonics are 32-33. I get to see a lot of Payton, so I know. Kidd is the only one you can make an argument for.

I agree wholeheartedly River, now get the ball to him at the end so he can lead us to the promise land.

Whether he's #1 or #29, Stevie deserves to have the ball...

Marbury is a joke... He's a good player, but to say he makes his team better is bs...

Same with Payton... When he scores 40, they lose by 10...

    chuckie,

what does Kidd getting 16 assists have to do with Francis?

It has less to do with Francis, and more to do with the rest of the players on the team.

    Weak argument.

Marbury might be the most gifted scorer but Francis is better all around.

16 assists = at least 32 points. Not a bad game.
Also I didn't say Marbur was a great player, just right now he is better than Stevie. No where did I say Marbury made his teammates better, just like right now I would still argue that Stevie hasn't necessarily made any of his teammates better. Only person on Rockets having a career year is Mobley and as we all know Cat does most of his scoring by himself.
Payton is having a down year, but in years past he has carried his Sonics.
Payton, IMO, is a great player, Kidd is a great PG and Stevie has the potential to be great, but he's not there yet.
