Patrick Beverley in the playoffs is one of my favorite Rockets of all time. Seriously, the guy goes into an extra gear in the playoffs every year. He's tenacious, ferocious, and downright scary. He becomes a fringe all-star player in the playoffs. Keep it going, Pat. You're the glue. You're the energy. We need you.
He is the heart and soul of this team. Fearless leader. Always plays hard and you can always count on him during tough times. Unbelievable performance today. Defense, 3 point shooting, taking charges, floaters, everything.. There was nothing he didn't do except:
Beverley has always turned it up two notches in the playoffs. I have not been the biggest Bev fan historically. He's been injury prone quite a bit. But it is ABSOLUTELY undeniable how valuable Bev is in the playoffs. He's a different player altogether. Love it.
I said this is the game thread and I will say it here as well... Nothing we say here will be a better compliment to Pat then what the Thunder gave him.... They started to double team Pat Beverley. Seriously, let that sink in.
I could see Bev hitting a kiss of death type three in the playoffs. He's that type of guy all championship teams could use.
BTW enjoy the playoff Beverly, could be his last playoffs with th Rockets Because remember guys Rockets have been looking to trade Beverly all summer and even during the trade deadlines and will continue to shop him and try to move him this summer _holic Has there been a more know nothing that thinks he knows it all? He brings the most reliable qualities of all: energy, defense, and rebounding. Even the best shooter can be off and have a cold night, but what he does is consistent. That he is hitting his shots is just an unbelievable bonus. Even if he missed all of his shots tonight he would have been positive factor on the court.
