Vacation in Cuba

    Has anyone been to Cuba? Looking to go with a couple of friends. Do you need to get a visa?

    Went back in November. Yes u need a visa. They give you a bunch of reasons to pick why u are going, we used journalistic reason, ie we said we be travel bloggers. No one ever asked. They stamped our passports and reentry into the US they didn't care. Be advised the air quality is horrendous. we ate lobster every day for dinner and lunch. Airbnb is the way to go.

    Also be advised that if u plan on flying within Cuba your only option is air Cuba which is notorious for canceling flights daily and last minute.

    Southwest has flights there that we are planning to book.

    Also anyone know where I can go to get a quick Visa for Cuba? Planning on going the first week of May.

    Yes, in 2003. I went via Mexico. I didn't need a visa, because I am from Germany. It was really interesting. I listened to a live concert by Buena Vista Social Club in the Hotel Nacional in Havana, while drinking Mojitos. Good times.

    I would love to go. I hear the people are very nice. Problem is talking my wife into it.


    She's not as adventurous as me and would happily stick to all inclusives and cruises.

    Went in November....Flew out from FLL. Got the visa at the check in desk at the airport. I think it was $80.

    Just booked a flight for 5 days with 2 of my buddies in 3 weeks. Applied for a Visa online for "education reasons" and it said I could pick it up at Ft. Lauderdale.

    im gonna go one day. true story. my mom is cuban and that side of my family escaped on a boat to miami florida before making it to texas. No one ever believes me because we all look completely white lol.

    It's funny that most Americans think anyone from a Spanish speaking country should automatically have brown skin.

    In Uruguay, for example, 88% of the population is of European descent and look like this:
