According to a report by KHOU on Thursday, a charge of retaliation has been dropped against former Rockets guard Steve Francis.

The charge is connected to a November arrest in Houston that occurred after Francis, 39, was stopped for speeding by a Precinct 5 deputy.

At the time, Francis was was charged with DWI, possession of mar1juana and retaliation.

Francis reportedly was traveling 88 miles per hour in a 65 mph zone. The deputy smelled alcohol and reported that Francis was belligerent. Three more deputies were called to the scene and tried to get Francis to park his vehicle in a parking lot. The deputies reported that Francis did not cooperate.

Deputies said there was no physical confrontation and that Francis refused a field sobriety test. Francis was arrested and taken downtown without incident.

I think I mentioned it in this thread months ago, but here to reiterate that he needs to go to jail to clean his life up. He was at meneger rehab a few years back. Seen this disease too many times in my life.

Could of told yall this 10 years ago. Steve has always been ****ed up in the head.

If he was on the Texans, Bob McNair wouldn't even allow him in the stadium.

I think he looks pretty healthy. He's just got those bug eyes, but that's just his features.

Hopefully he keeps clean since he's supposed to be a part of that Big 3 league. It'd be sad if he doesn't get picked up by one of those teams either because of people worrying about his drinking and seriousness about making somewhat of a comeback.

Not really though. He closed countless games for us and the Magic in the 4th quarter. Our team was designed for Steve/Cat isolations on the wing.

What drove me nuts was how passive he was in quarters 1-3. He could have been scoring 30 a night If he wasn't so unselfish trying to get Kelvin Cato and Mo Taylor the ball.
