I know theres a lot of you people in here that hate the Utah Jazz, but i must say. Even though they have low expectations for this season, they still have loyal fans that come to the games and support their team. Last night i was watching that game b/w minnesotta and utah and i was pretty surprised that their arena is alway full, loud, and fun. It makes me wonder what does it take for our "diehard rocket fans" to do the same. We obvioulsy have a better team this year, we have a lot of high hopes this season to BE BIG. The second game in the toyota center only 13,000 people went to the game. The rockets need that home feeling that hostile envireonment. People are saying that people will eventually show up when the team starts winning. That makes me think, last year we had Yao Ming the showcase of the NBA and not many people went to games last year except for maybe olajuwons retirement, jordans last game, shaq yao I. Cleveland isnt expected to win, im sure their house will be packed, denver isnt expected to win and their house is packed. Dont get me wrong i know the city of houston can be very hostile, i see it in the football games against the texans. Utah is not exected to win either and last night their house was rockin' I come to these forums and i see a lot of fans exited about the rockets, people giving their insights on ideas of the game, I come to this bbs and i see a lot of diehard rocket fans, but it just doesnt show on games. I dont know if its ticket prices, but people said its thursday a time of the week and people dont go, but i see a Utah game its a monday night and their house is packed. I agreed when les said its time for us to get up our couches and go to games and make some noise. For other teams its an event to go see their team play.
Well, if it means anything, i would probably go to many Rockets games if i didnt live in Melbourne, Australia.
