Ariza on what James Harden did to Russell Westbrook in the 2017 Western Quarterfinals "The thing about then, we used to play guys in our conference 4 times. OKC didn't own us. They were 1-3 against us. So we were sitting there, we just came from Minnie, beating them. First game, Harden looks down there, and Harden never says anything. 'That's my trophy. How they going to disrespect me like that and give him my trophy?' That's what he was saying. We all looked at Harden and were like, 'Yeeeah! We about to roll tonight!' Those moves Harden put on Westbrook? We had never seen (those) before. It was like he had been in a lab somewhere working on that secretly. You know guys when they see something and go, 'ooooh!"? We were actually on the court going, "ooooh! Get 'em Beard!"
Beard is not the DREAM Beard would be more like "That's my trophy, I am the best player in the league but it's all good. Me and Russ are buddies and we will hang out at the clubs after the game and all will be forgotten"
Exactly. Something along the lines of "Russ is my bro and I'm proud of him for winning the MVP." I hope I'm wrong.
I think that's what he would say publicly if Russ won....but it wouldn't be what he's thinking. Dream never came out publicly and said a bad thing about Robinson winning the award; he just said it to his teammates. Harden has already said he thinks he deserves it....he's said that repeatedly.
