He only gets one day a week to sell drugs for sex, clearly it was a priority for him.....but in all seriousness, the guy has some emotional problems that he needs to work out. Hopefully now that he'll be ripping off the airline for millions he'll be able to finally get the mental health help he needs
yeah, I've read you post that like 12 times in this thread already. I'm sure you'll do it again, since you seem so wound up about this.
Yeah he definitely was -- if you've dug your heels in and the decision to fight has been made don't start squealing and going limp -- act like this guy...
This has been the elephant in the room for me this whole time. His behavior was completely inexplicable. Even accounting for any type of head injury, it's extremely bizarre.
"Strangest thing happened this morning... I was at the local donut shop and the guy in front of me ordered the last glazed donut. He paid and was about to sit down to eat when an employee told him to stop. Apparently another employee really wanted that glazed and he was asked to return his donut. The man didn't want to because he was hungry. Police were called, the man was knocked unconscious, his donut removed, and his body dragged from the store so that the other employee could enjoy the glazed donut they'd sold to the now-unconscious man in peace."
Did you get $3000 in actual money that you can spend anywhere, or did you get $3000 of vouchers that you have to spend at the very same airline that screwed you over already?
Because it's really a non-issue. Funny that the Aviation Department admitted they broke protocol, all eyewitness accounts say that United barely made an effort before kicking people off, United CEO lied about the flight being overbooked and about the guy being belligerent, yet some people want to focus on why the guy was acting weird after getting his face smashed in?
My ex and I got 1500 each for involuntarily getting taken off a flight from in Paris heading back to the U.S. on United. I was PISSED at first. I didn't know about the money part. Once I was told that we would be given a Hotel and money I was cool.
And by the way we were offered more total in flight vouchers I believe $2000 each but her and I just took the actual money. Which ended up paying for most of our trip.
Strong post. It's hilarious to read some of the drivel being posted here by those supporting united. Says a lot about those posters. This country, and the civil rights movement, was founded based on people taking a stand and doing what they felt was "right"... regardless of whether it was legal or not. I'm sure those same posters, if the internet was around back then, would have lambasted the colonists for not complying with the monarchy... and would have thrown rosa parks under the bus for not following the "rules".
How would you reconcile your position on this particular issue with your libertarian leanings? It seems to me that, as a libertarian, you would side with the individual who has refused to accept the amount offered to him to give up his rightful seat on the plane. Or do you think that him buying the ticket doesn't give him that right to choose to stay on the plane?
I'm not bringing it up to attack his character or shift blame. I'm bringing it up because it is extraordinarily strange.
