Hinch is one of those guys that feels Stanford is just a special place. Found the quotes from when it was announced he would go into their HoF (link):

He denied the rumors yesterday, but I think there might be a strong "When mama calls" element when it comes to A.J. and Stanford.

Might open the door for Bidge?

His over-managing in the 6th inning last night with the pinch hitter - pinch runner - with 2 outs and bases loaded worked wonders.

ya it worked out last night for sure. I don't think every call he makes is bad, I just think he makes too many.

They are going to have to sweeten the pot before getting out beloved manager, Gotta take the whole staff! Now that's sweet!

Why do you assume Biggio could manage his way out of a brown paper bag? Ted Williams style. Just because he's done it in HS?

Not sure how he'd do in the role, but I just assume it might be something that'd be available to him if he wanted to pursue it.

I get ya. Actually I do think Biggio has the mindset and workethic to be a manager someday. I just hate when people assume that great player = great coach.

    Ask UH about Clyde.

I bet if biggio were manager we would slowly transition our way into getting our full allotment of 27 outs again instead of the 22 to 25 we currently get due to our silly baserunning mistakes.

I dont remember vividly but I want to say that Biggio said he had no interest in managing.

Id rather have bags be the manager va bidge. I think the narrative is that bag well was the primary clubhouse leader back in the day and Biggio was the public face.

This ,of course, assuming he can get clean . Lol
