Harden's assists are inflated due to pace. Did you watch T-Mac's entire career? T-Mac was an elite playmaker, not some good playmaker. He was a 6'9 point guard. He just didn't have Mike D'Antoni as his head coach and dumped it to Yao in the post half the time, whereas Harden is the entire offense. That doesn't mean T-Mac was any less capable of a playmaker than Harden just because T-Mac had an elite post option to share the ball with.

You have to play a little more Defense to achieve a 23 win streak.

Di Antoni is just not a defensive coach and Bzdelik is just not a factor.
