Ariza has been garbage 85% of the season on offense. Not to mention 90% of last season as well. Hope Troy Williams take a bunch of his minutes. Harden has been horrendous the past 9 games with turnovers and shot selections- back to taking high risk, low reward passes and shots. He keeps on settling for guarded and non-rythm 3s. Sad to say but I can see him playing lazy or hero ball once again when the pressure is on during the second round of the playoffs..

Are people really freaking out over a game in which we didn't play bev/capela/lou/nene? I was at the game and I can confirm the energy was not there from the beginning of the game. It shows how crappy the clippers are that we we were still in it at halftime. Nobody should be concerned

The hate for Ariza is unreal and just not warranted. Rather blame MDA for this mess, Harden for laying an egg (no excuses, if you want to be the MVP) and Ego + Lou for shooting like **** lately.

Not only those guys, but Dekker was out too due to injury. So basically the Rockets were on the road on a B2B against a red hot team playing for homecourt in Round 1 without half of their rotation in a completely meaningless game in terms of the standings. You could tell from the opening tip, Harden was just going through the motions and trying not to get hurt. That's why he settled for 3's when he had DeAndre switched onto him.

I do want them to play their key guys a few more minutes vs the T'Wolves on Wednesday just to get a rhythm going into the postseason, but at this point, the #1 priority is to get some players a breather and don't sustain any injuries.

I trust Bobby Brown's 3 point shot over Eric Gordon's right now.

Y'all need to relax. At the end of the day, it's just one series and Rockets will either progress to the 2nd round or enjoy their early Hawaii vacation

When ariza drives to the basket, its like hearing someone scratch a chalkboard. I dont know why he ends up getting most of the shots on kickouts.

Sad but true.... he's really regressed in that area while Bobby Brown continues to light it up.

This might help put things into better perspective - (from the Chronicle yesterday before Clippers game)

"While praising Westbrook and his place in the record book, Harden moved back on pace to break another NBA record.
Harden scored or had the assist on 72 points on Sunday, pushing his average of points produced to 59 per game and on pace to break the NBA record Nate Archibald has held since 1972.
He is 11 assists from becoming the first player in NBA history with 2,000 points, 900 assists and 600 rebounds."

Tiny Archibald's achievement has stood for 45 years!
If I'M James, and I had a chance to set a record that could run another 50 years
then I'd be out there too. Wouldn't you? Why work so hard to get that close and then sit down
for the last couple of games and watch it go by? How often does a chance like that come around?
And what coach is going to deny him that by sitting him?

wait.. a team that has had a nucleus of all-stars and team usa members and that have been together for 4-6+ years beat a team starting rookies that haven't even played more than a handful of NBA games and that has NEVER played minutes together on the floor together?

    :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

we were in it till the coldest quarter i have ever seen since that OKC game a few years back... i think bobby brown ended up scoring 9 of the 12 points in the 3rd quarter.

Harden really needed assists last night to achieve a MAJOR milestone.
He was kicking out for assists, but his supporting cast was garbage. SO MANY TIMES, Trevor would
be open from 3 only to hesitate, then dribble into traffic resulting in nothing. Either that or he
would shoot and clunk it off the rim. Terrible shooting last night. Even underneath, several easy dishes in the
lane for layup or dunk were bobbled and lost. I must have seen 10 assists go to waste.

    As for Brown. Nice game.
I was a proponent of his early on when Tyler "can't find the basket" Ennis was getting so much PT with Bev out
But Brown would only get 60 sec of garbage time when we had to watch 20 min of garbage time from Ennis

wow that's actually a comically accurate assessment of his game.

First time all year I quit watching in the 3rd quarter - the team didn't care....so why should we?

I know this game didn't mean anything but it was horrible to watch. I agree with everything you said. You are spot on. Every time Ariza got the ball I cringed inside. Harrell was getting abused. No defense no discipline. Bobby Brown and Troy Williams imo were the only bright spots last night. And I don't think harden reached his goal. Too many missed opportunities.

So now Harden only needs 5 assist to be the first player in NBA history with 2,000 points, 900 assists and 600 rebounds?

I believe that is correct. But not certain
I'm just going by what the Chronicle wrote. I'm assuming it's accurate if it was published
Curious that I didn't hear any of the announcers talking about it though.
You would think there would be an 'assist watch' to see him set the record.
All I heard was gushing over Russell Westbrick so I'm stumped

Let's just get to the playoffs already... Time for Bev to slap Harden in the face and get us going.

Bobby Brown is actually a ok passer when he looks to pass the ball. Plus dude might be along with Gordon the best 3pt shooter out of all the guards. He has a deadly three point shot and now I can see why MDA and the Rockets like him.Dude can play.Troy Williams should start eating into Trevor's minutes as well.Speaking of Trevor dude used to be money at defending people off the dribble but he gets beat off the dribble quiet easily these days.Combine that with his horrid offense right now it is not pretty.
