I don't think we can get out of the West with our current defensive abilities.
So I voted 'no,' but I love this team and can't wait to see what they do with the 3 seed.

Rockets need better shooters and defense.

The rockets were at there best in December and January when Gordon was playing at allstar level.

When harden has a guy of that caliber the rockets rival even the Warriors.

That's why imo it's so crucial to go out and find that guy who can bring that type of producation consistently.

We'll be in the mix to win a championship if Gordon gets hot for 2 months like he did at the beginning of the season.

Maybe we have a run like the mavs had when they won.

Rockets CANNOT win a championship as currently constructed. Not until we get a primary playmaker (Ricky Rubio) to move Harden off the ball and a real defensive big (Thong Maker) because Capela is not good enough.

All we need is to catch a hot streak and we can beat anyone.

The question is when we get that hot streak, can we sustain that hot streak throughout the playoffs?

I give us a solid chance at doing it. It's gonna take some lucky bounces though.

The poll asked "CAN the Rockets win", so the answer is yes.

If it was "WILL the Rockets win", my answer would be no.

I think it would be very tough. But certainly better than a zero percent chance. Personally I think we have to start with everyone healthy. Especially james. Then we need at least two of Anderson, Ariza, Gordon, Lou, Beverly to hit 40% or more of their 3pt attempts. Everyone else that shoots the 3 no less than 36-37%. We have to play the kind of defense we know we can play. No falling asleep and allowing layup after layup. If Memphis upsets San Antonio and Durrant is not as ready as people hope and comes back for our WCF finals against them and they struggle to integrate him. I can see us making it to the finals. But that is a lot of dominos to fall. Against Cleveland or Boston I think it is a toss up. Maybe lean Cleveland simply because LeBron is a seasoned beast with plenty of finals experience.

If we hover around the 33-35% range for three point shooting we will limp out of the first round and fall in 5 to the spurs.

Yes, if everyone gets hot it's doable. But it's going to require bombs away over a 7 game series to beat the Warriors.

We need the gods who looked down at J-smooove during game 6 of the clips series to pay us an extended visit. A little angels in the outfield-esque. When our bench is hot...

Lol rox have virtually no chance, technically its not 0% but we need at least one more star player on the team. I just want to have an entertaining run this year and for the MDA Rockets to get their feet wet in the playoffs.

We have missed a lot of 3s lately. But according to Morey statistics, it will revert back to the mean in time for the playoffs! So we will be hot!

I certainly think we can, but only if we play up to our potential, no injuries & the opponents don't pull some crazy good hard to believe sheeit

The consistency is not there, just when you thought they were turning the corner....

The truth about the Rockets years ago when they faced the Clippers was 50% we beat them, 50% they beat themselves.

Unless we are hitting everything in almost every game, we are just not championship quality with defending.
