Iggy would be perfect off the bench for us, we are in dire need of a secondary passer and perimeter defense. I don't think he's obtainable, and he's older. Perhaps Evans would be the next man up in that mold this FA.

Contracts would need to be moved realistically. We just need real threats at every position around Harden if we aren't going to play D. No need to argue the obvious with this team. Iggy would be the best small forward on this team if we were to sign him right now.

If the Warriors don't want him , we should not. We should go after players that want to go the Warriors, not leftovers.

Harden needs an Allstar next to him.

Morey need to make this happen.

What harden has done in Houston is very similar to what Lebron did in Cleveland his first go around.

Win a lot of games and some playoff series but not good enough to win the whole thing.

Harden is the only guy playing on a top 5 team that doesn't have any current Or former allstars on the team.

And golden state has 4 Cleveland has 3 the Spurs have 5 Boston has 2 houston has harden.

Harden is great to be in the mix with those teams and actually have the 3rd best record should show all who the real MVP is and also that harden is good enough to lead you to a chip as long as he has a true 2nd banana like all these other top 5 guys have.

It's been like this for the history of the NBA.

Only houston first chip and Dallas come to mind as true one man bands in terms of star power.

Invent a time machine and get the Iggy from 5 years ago. He's really starting to fall off quite a bit this season. He works on a deep team in GS that can afford to regulate his minutes, but on a shorter bench depth team or even(gasp) as you suggest "starting" him in place of Ariza is ridiculous. I guarantee you GS would happily trade us Iggy for Ariza. Ariza has also fallen off a bit from the elite defensive level he was at, but he is still decently effective guarding the other team's best wing player day after day. I know Iggy couldn't handle that at this stage in his career.
