He has really made a turn around from last year. It is like he was on painkillers like Rush for the last couple of years and then quit. Maybe when he saw what happened to Rush he quit.

Anyway the good part is that I haven't heard a word about his old playing days in the first three games and that is a record. No mention of his old socks, or how he used to be a stud on the line. Just normal, almost funny color commentary. I can stop listening to the radio while I watch the game.

I am always the first to give credit where credit is due, and I am also not a person who will hold a permanent grudge. People can redeem themselves to me because lord knows I need redeeming with some people. I actually like Calvin so far this year. I find him likeable and not annoying.

I think Murph does a great job, he's a little strange but I find him funny. At least he knows BB I really can't stand listening to people who really don't have a feel for the game.

Maybe Murph has gotten better but Worrell made a turn for the worse when he started singing tonight. Memo to Worrell: Blowout or not, YOU aren't the show...the ROCKETS are.

    Yeah, I caught it.
I thought it was tasteless, but didn't think he was being personal about it. I regarded it as just one of the ways he and Calvin kid around w/ each other.

heard it, and was shocked to hear it. But calvin was the original one to go there with the original joke (calvin dressed up as a ghost for halloween). I was relieved that nothing was made of the comments in the press. Bill and Calvin freakin rock!

The KKK thing started as a slip of the tongue by Bill. Calvin then made the reference. Bill then shot back by saying what everybody was already thinking anyway by that time. I thought it was funny as hell...tastless as all getout...but freakin funny! I laughed so hard.

I tried to explain it to my wife and she was disgusted. :) But you'd have to hear how that developed from a harmless comment.

so can we out-of-towners hear (or i guess read in this case) the KKK conversation? since league pass may let me listen to bill and calvin like once in the next 3 months, somebody give me my fix!

and why do people not like bill and calving singing. it's not like they're trying to do it well, the other one just usually makes fun of how bad the other is singing, some jokes are made, and life goes on. god forbid they interject a little fun into the broadcast. it isn't like you're missing the actual game action.

Man I hope you are kidding! If not...lighten up kid.

It's ok to step outside the box and have a lil fun. What's wrong with that? Calvin is the best!

    The KKK comment was funny....period

Nothing else should be taken from it because no harm was meant. I laughed my @ss off personally. In this day and age, we all need to lighten up and not forget the past, but forgive and let live. I think that we all (all races and genders) have come a mighty long way on how we treat one another. Sometimes it doesn't matter if we do not always agree with each other, but we understand one another a lot better.

    Murph is entertaining and knowledgable.

    Calvin Murphy != Cynthia Cooper

I love Calvin and Bill. I think that they are very entertaining.

Not to get off of the subject or anything, but I need to vent.

I know that it has been mentioned in other threads, but I really don’t think that Cynthia Cooper is a very good choice to be a half time analyst. Although, her knowledge of basketball is excellent, her journalism skills SUCK … she stutters all of the time … and if she uses the word AWESOME one more time … someone please send her a Thesaurus … OK I am finished venting …

Bill and Calvin are AWESOME ;)

    :) :D :p :) :D ;)

As best as I can recall...

Calvin: I was wearing a white sheet for halloween.
    Bill: Random KKK comment.
Calvin: No, crazy Bill! I was a ghost!
Bill: Oh, yeah. The guys in the sheets come to your house, not the other way around...

You people are lucky to have calvin and worrel.. I had to listen to joke like "with his(YAo) number 11, it looks like his legs run all the way to his back"... during the bulls blowout game.
