    that's simply territorial. the Virgin Islands have their own team (with raja bell) but duncan is not eligible because he played for the US in competition...and you can't switch countries once you've played for one.

    it's not like it's a U.S. State.

    duncan is a US citizen; he plays on the US team that competes internationally

    so you're saying nash is more american than duncan because duncan is from a territory of the US....but WTF is canada then? Last time I checked, the US didn't own canada. Duncan has US Citizenship which legally makes him American. I could argue that Puerto Ricans and Samoans are more american than Canadians...but your argument about Nash being more "american" is just straight up LAME.

    No seriously, I'd vote for Dream, even though he's an American citizen.

    do we even have to vote? of course the DREAM is the greatest foreign player ever. he is probably one of the top ten greatest players. Nowitzki? not even close. yao - i doubt he will dominate like dream did.
