has anyone found out what the Cox schedule is for games or if they are even showing them on ch 15? thanks
Hey elliot, This thread has been posted before, right before the last game....but no one had any answers....we tried calling the cox offices, but no help given. After class today, I'll go by the Cox offices and ask them in person, and see if they have a schedule or something..... see what i can find out...i'll post if i find anything.
Alright.... Just got back from Cox...they said they have been hearing about us asking for the games for quite some time now, especially today. That's what I'm talking about, we need to keep on them. Just one problem, it seems at the moment it is out of their hands. They have been trying to contact the Rockets and get a schedule of available games to broadcast on ch. 15. But the Rockets aren't getting back to them. They will keep trying and told me by Thursday they should know more. Let's keep getting on to them. As soon as they hear from the Rockets you can rest assured they will act quickly to show a lot of games. Otherwise, they'll keep hearing from us. If we don't hear anything by Thursday, hell will be raised. By the way, no word on tonights game, they (cox) just have no way of telling. Any other info anyone has, please post.
I dont see why they can't just show all the games on channel 15 since there's obviously alot of people here that want to see them. It's not like that channel is being put to any use whatsoever with the stupid advertisements it shows all day long -Nick-
Well the game will probably be on WGN, which is channel 2 IIRC. If Cox is hounding the Rockets and they aren't getting back, then it sounds like we need to hound the Rockets. TIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We need your help, please.
Right on Oski, I even asked the lady if there was anything we could do or we could talk to. They said they're doing all they can, blah blah blah. I hate apathy. If, after they get the schedule of what they can show, and if they don't show a good percentage of the games, we need to keep hounding them.....I know we will. They said they have been getting a lot of comments about this.
I live in Bryan and can sympathize with you guys, keep me informed as well on what they say Thurs... Its definitely frustrating...
Can we really expect the game to be on WGN tonight???? Sometimes, they don't show cubs/bulls games on there period....and when they do they don't always show them on here, especially when they play the Rockets. Anyone know about that tonight.
Found out my own answer.... instead of getting to watch the rockets....on WGN we can watch "baby boom". I'm about to boom some babies if we don't get this crap to show the games!
I watched the Grizz game at my sisters home in Huntsville. I don't know what cable they have, but it was on channel 7. The reception cut out pretty bad a few times, but it was mostly good. I was worried that I'd miss the game, and it turned out that I may as well have not even seen it.
Anyone know of any bars or anything in College Station that've been showing the Rockets games? -Nick-
Nick, No word on any bars showing the game. I know the Fox & Hound haven't, and the tap isn't showing it tonight. 1150 AM The Zone has been broadcasting the games though.....big props to 1150 for that.
For those Ags who are interested in going out with the grouper the next time I hit town - email me at the following address: thegroupers@hotmail.com I come back to CS about once every month and a half and tear it up like back in the old days, except now I actually have some money so it gets fun. I start out at Bodega's for dinner then stumble to Northgate.
Yeah this really sucks .Why couldnt the Rockets and fox sports come to an agreement. At least we would get all home games.I live in Bryan.
You know what really sucks? Cox Digital Cable has NBA League Pass. Right? No, it does, but not everywhere. Not in College Station TX. Channels 605 to whatever (the NBA channels) are not available in this area. Meaning, even if you want to buy it, you can't. So the only way is to get Direct TV, which you can't do if you live in an apartment complex with lease restrictions. Mr. Tim McDougall! Are you around? Bryan/College Station Rocket fans who do go to games, of whom many become Houstonians, who buy Rockets gear, who want to watch Rockets games.....we're all being left out. The games used to be on FoxSW, and on UPN, and local C-band Cox cable 15, but we're in the dark now. Please help us if you can. Go Rockets.
I really can sympathize with you guys ... I lived in College Station from '98-'02 and I can't even count the number of games I missed because there was no way to watch it in CS. It is kind of pathetic that I am now able to watch every game in San Diego, yet while in CS only an hour and a half away from the Rockets home court I had to miss so many game. The Rockets really need to do something to take care of fans in areas such as this.
