I'm a bit young to remember the championship years, but did Rudy T ever shut down Dream or Glide?

MVP > anything short of a finals appearance

This is my thought when people say Finals MVP or a ring are more important. Yes, obviously I'd rather the Rockets win the championship than Harden win the MVP...but Harden has got at least a 50% chance of winning MVP, while the Rockets GETTING to the Finals is 10% at best.

Shut him down and ruin all the chemistry they been having all season long? You should be banned.

No, but he shouldn't be averaging more than 30mpg or so from here on out.

    No. No, no, no.

    Bad idea. Very bad idea.

This team is beginning to see themselves as being tough, which is exactly what they need. Part of that self-image is because they have a superstar who hates not playing. This is who we are, let's not eff around and baby-up the team again. Sit Harden for the rest of the year and you'll have a team where everyone's roles have changed and nobody has a feel for what they should be doing any more.

Could Harden get hurt? Sure, but history tells us he's not likely to. Let the man ball, I say.

Concur whole-heartedly. Harden is a baller in the truest sense. Dude is built like a tank, let him roll through the mud

Earlier this week, Westbrook also broke Harden's 2016 NBA record for turnovers

    2017 Harden 417
    2017 Westbrook 380
    2016 Harden 374

Maybe Morey and MDA should troll Westbrook and sit Harden to make WB worry about overtaking him for the TOV record (which would taint his triple doubles), then his muse cage fills with dark muses leading to fear of passing, which then screws up his triple double.

I voted no for my own selfish fantasy basketball reasons. I'm 18-1 because of Harden. Need him the next two weeks.

What if Rockets play him, but cut his minutes down considerably?

take him on the next road trip to Portland and Golden date then rest him for the Denver and Pistons game. Then he will have a couple games before the playoffs to get going

Harden needs no more than 25 minutes a game from here on out. Trevor needs to rest 2 maybe 3 full games, test out Troy Williams. Let Harrell and Dekker get hot. Rest Nene. If anything I'd put Gordon in bubble wrap until 1st rd tip off but have him make 500 3s a day so he doesn't go cold. He'd be a machine knocking em down like clockwork come showtime.
