I'm not a chickenhawk, because I served my country for TEN years in the USMC. A chickenhawk would be one who did not and I do not fit that. You just don't get it. Do you think for one minute a "Palestinian" state is going to be nothing more than a base for further terrorism? Why is it always that Israel must surrender land for peace? Why is that? No one will answer that question because you know the answer. It isn't about a state for the poor, downtrodden "Palestinians" who don't deserve one. It's all about destroying Israel and killing every last Jew in that country. The "Palestinians" are just the anvil on which the Arabs are trying to break the Israelis upon and sadly, our past two presidents are helping in that regard. And as far as being a Zionist, I'm proud of the fact I stand with God's chosen people. I'm glad that I'm not standing on the side of barbarians who slaughter innocents with cowardly bombs and claim that they only do it because they want a state and they are so oppressed. I'm glad that I'm not an apologist for the vile murderers that are the "Palestinians." They do not want a state that lives in peace with Israel, but they want to kill all the Jews and take their territory. Listen to Yasser's own words on this: Yasser Arafat I'm surprised that so many of you are blind to this fact. Either you are ignorant of it, or simply choose to believe that Israel is the focus of all evil in the ME and to get rid of it would cease the evil struggle. In that case, you are anti-semites.
What you fail to realize is that just because the Palestinians have a state, doesn't mean the crackdown against Palestinian terrorists would stop. The Palestinians should have a state, and terrorists should also be hunted down and stopped. Both should happen at the same time. The reason that Israel should surrender land, is because they are illegally occupying land oppressing a people. Read the fourth genevea convention. Israel is in violation and they should give up the settlements and stop breaking international conventions which they have signed, and pledged to follow. Are you against holding people up to the agreements that they've signed?
But don't you see, that even if the "Palestinians" get a state, the terrorism will never stop until the Jews are driven into the sea. Read Yasser's quote on the subject. They don't want a "viable" state, they want all that is Israel. And as for those territories being "illegally" occupied, the Israelis took them as spoils of a war they were forced to fight despite overwhelming odds. Why should they give back that land then? The Geneva convention is only followed by us and few other nations and there is no means of enforcement, making it a great joke like the Kellogg/Briand pact that supposedly "outlawed" war.
They didn't take them as spoils of war. They occupied them after war, and have continuted to grab new land. If they took the land as spoils of war the land would be part of Israel proper. The lands were occupied, and the Geneva convention was signed and agreed to by the ISraelis. If being held accountable to international agreements isn't important, then why did it matter if Saddam had a WMD program or not? There are Israelis and Palestinians alike who want all of the area for their own. Hopefully neither of those factions will recieve their wish. Let them each have their state, and continue to fight terrorism. Support for the Palestinian terrorists will dramatically decrease when Palestinians have enough water, jobs, the freedom to move around their own country, etc. It will take time, and most probably new leadership on both sides, but that doesn't mean we should scrap the goal.
