Is it just me that dislikes Kenan Thompson on this show? Always has a stupid smirk on his face and can never stay in character... and his character portrayal aren't even great either. He just yells like a normal man for every one of his portrayals. It's dumb.
I have never understood the facination with Keenan either; he has been overrated since Nickelodeon's All That
His best skits are Steve Harvey and the other talk show host . . . his black jeopardy had like one or two funny ones - mainly the Tom Hanks one Rocket River
I think he's hilarious. Of the current cast members, Pete Davidson and Kyle Mooney seem the weakest to me among the guys, and I don't find Leslie Jones or Melissa Villasenor all that funny among the gals.
Kyle Mooney is not funny, I agree. I have never seen one thing that he has done that's good. I think Pete Davidson is good with his young guy rants on Weekend Update. Leslie Jones is not great, but that Black Ninja skit is hilarious. Melissa Villasenor hasn't been on all that much, But I've seen flashes. I think she will be good in the future.
What a nosedive Pete Davidson has taken. Went from Eddie Murphy-like comparisons after his debut... to a barely used player that has yet to secure a regular character/role (other than his once-twice a year appearance on WU where he basically does his standup). Bennett struck gold with the role of Putin... he's also stepped into the regular guy role with the departures of Sudekis, Killam, and Hader. Mooney has value because he basically runs the digital shorts now. Keenan provides stability... and is still versatile enough to be the default go-to. I actually think his best work was Big Papi. The show is still heavily dominated by Kate McKinnon... she basically owns every sketch she's in, and considering she's the best they have right now, she's in almost every single one.
her owen wilson is flawless. incredible talent. kyle mooney isn't being properly utilized on SNL. his own skits on youtube were hilarious though. SNL made a mistake cutting Brooks Wheelan and keeping on Sasheer Zamata. Sasheer is absolutely terrible and overrated.
I don't watch the show, but I have always wondered who ever told Tina Fey that she was funny..? I mean, no one goes to see her comedy movies, and now we are saddled with those TERRIBLE American Express commercials 50 times a game. You'd think eventually someone would raise their hand and say 'Umm, WHY is she a thing? Has she EVER been funny?' Not that I have ever seen. She's not even still on SNL is she?
Kyle Mooney did one thing that I found funny (disclaimer, I only watch SNL skits on youtube sporadically, not on live tv). For one of the debates, he was the guy in the audience who asks the last question to Hillary Clinton: " .... so, what do you like about him?" His delivery and the face he made really cracked me up.
His David Ortiz impression is pretty funny to me. To me the most unfunny is Leslie Jones. She's horrible.
the correct answer is jimmy fallon. he always broke character and almost sabotaged the cowbell skit with his stupid antics. he had nothing original...its all 90's references. super annoying and not funny at all.
