Anybody else have this sad combination? I've already gotten rid of Comcast's cable modem service due to crappy service after they handed over from AT&T. Now I order NBA League Pass and can't get any of the broadcasts. They have no clue why and have no estimated time to fix it. What compounds the problem is that wait times for their clueless support is running over 15-20 minutes. I've currently been on hold for over 25 minutes listening to the pacifying music that is only making me more irritated.

Let's see, I paid $159 to get fewer games (no NBA TV) and now I can't get any of the games. Sounds pretty good. The last time I had to call them they sent a tech guy out for something and he called and said there was no need for him to come out, and that he would call support and tell them what to do. He said they'd hired a bunch of incompetent people with no training and thrown them into support positions. Nice to see people on the inside are just as frustrated. :)

Anyway, just had to bash Comcast and get that off my chest... guess no Rockets for me until these clowns figure out what they're doing. :(

Well, after being on hold for 29 minutes, I finally get somebody. I continue holding while they "resolve" the problem for another 10-12 minutes. Their resolution : they will try to fix the problem during the day and have the night manager call me at 7 when the games start to see if it's working.

In other words... "we have no clue".

A friend of mine who lives in Nashville has comcast and has some real problems. He ordered the Baseball season pass(whatever it's called.) But for some reason the comcast folks are telling him that NBA League Pass isn't available.

    I feel for you.

I have Comcast Digital Cable in Davis, CA and CANNOT order NBALP.

I hate Comcast. They charge 40+ for crappy basic cable. I add digital to get NBALP and they lead me to believe I can get it and drop the bomb the day of the season (not available here because it's not ready yet).

    I HATE COMCAST.

Well, they sent a tech out that didn't really do much. I seem to be getting random channels on random NBALP stations. Games that are supposed to be on NBA 1 are on NBA 2 even though the TV Guide at the bottom says it's a different game. Luckily I was able to watch the Rockets (on the wrong channel).

I asked them how long they would take to fix this, and they said they weren't even sure what the problem was. They just had a major conversion where a lot of screw-ups happened. People getting PPV channels were the most affected. They said they'd try to have everything working by next week (I'll believe it when I see it). The repair guy also said the "major conversion" involved HDTV.

I already got rid of Comcast's cable modem service after it sucked when they took over AT&T's service. I'd get rid of this, too, but my apartment doesn't face the right direction for DirecTV service.

I've had the same problem almost, about 4 NBA stations do not work for me. I get a message that says "the service will be available shortly" but nothing ever appears. I called them this afternoon, after being on hold the only thing they tell me is that they've put my name on a list and they hope to have it fixed tommorw. I have cox cable btw, if I do not not recieve the games tommorw I think Ill stop by there Monday. I also didnt get a bunch of the games on ESPN gameday including the OSU PSU game  ... They really need to get their act together.

 I did not see tonights rocket game  but it dosent seem like I missed to much

DirecTV in Austin via satellite here for the last 3 years. Never had any problems other than severe weather interruptions in satellite reception.

The biggest problem last year was never getting to hear Bill and Calvin. I hope this is not the case this year. Those Memphis announcers were the worst.

Anyone know if the "contractual" problem from last year was eliminated?

Another VERY Satisfied DirecTV user here. 4 years and only minor weather related problems (cleaning the snow off the dish) Cable here is a joke, so there was no question that DirecTV was the way to go for me.

Rockets, Astros, Texans and FoxSW, It's like I am still living in Houston only without the traffic:D

I agree. I started a thread asking Tim about this, but don't think that he quite grasped the 'No Bill and Calvin' issue.

And yes, those memphis announcers were some of the WORST I've ever heard. Whine whine whine...then seem blind to the fact that on one replay, posey was OB before throwing the ball off of Cat's head, which was also OB.

I have Comcast Digital Cable here in Savannah, GA and they dont even OFFER NBA League Pass / NBA TV here. This is a crappy sports town and NBA town in general.

I am seconds away from switching to DirecTV.
