This just proves that Bogut is about as intelligent as he looks.

No. Looks like he'll be waived. Even if he wasn't waived though, he's been medically ruled out for the season and the playoffs, so the Cavs wouldn't have put him on their playoff roster.

But, it's just a couple million dollars. He's earned over $100m in his career. I'd sacrifice <3% for a legit chance at a ring. The bet didn't work out, that's all.

I love Murray, but quite a few of the bullets he's dodged to date were fired from his own gun.

Do "second-tier outfits" ever win titles? Me thinks he knows the answer.....

Exactly! I've NEVER understood why people think players are stupid for taking less money to play for a contender. These vets have already made more money than most of us would make if we had several lifetimes at our current jobs. You would think that every athlete is on the verge of going bankrupt around here

Doesn't the new salary deduct from the existing contract?

Yeah, unless he's really stupid with his money he's set. So it's not like DMo who hasn't made money yet... I honestly have never been a fan of Bogut, a lot of years he was either cheap in games or collecting money from the couch/bench. So I'm okay that he didn't sign :)

You mean "set-off" or replace. Not all of it ... just 1/2 of (New Salary minus vet minimum), so only part of Rockets $3m pay would replace the money Philly is paying. The rest is gravy on top of what Philly pays.

Sounds like the Rockets got saved from themselves yet again. They try to do something dumb and it doesn't work out, much like Bosh or Melo to Houston.

Yes I'm an Aussie and Yes I'm gonna defend him somewhat. But I saw no problem with him deciding to go to the Cavs for 10% thereabouts of what the Rockets were offering because if I were in his shoes, going to the Cavs was the better way to get back at GSW after them trading him.
Cavs and Rockets weren't the only ones to put an offer to him. Boston also had an offer that was somewhere in between the Cavs and Rockets offer.

    I knew it wasn't Rudy T.

I was hoping Tinman would respond to it

It's Gene Peterson, who did radio for the Rockets

Lebron was like "First game bro, break a leg."

    Bogut was like "OK!"

And Bogut was scared of getting hurt with us because he felt he didn't fit our style of play.
