You are shocked probably because you underestimate how special Kobe and Iverson were, so were assuming WB was on their level. Here's the Top 20 list since 1981
Westbrook is now on track to have the least amount of Wins (45) for an MVP since the ABA was dissolved. Moses won 46 in 1982.
I think there is a good chance he is averaging that triple double but getting to 40 triple doubles in one season is tough even for him. He will be getting close 39 ish to 40, 41. Some of the games they could have won with Durant for another year.
Yup they are just like Rockets from the early McHale years when Harden played SG and scored the most without a legit 20 ppg scorer next to him. They got Oladipo but that is all and he is averaging 16pts. Nobody was on a mission to average a triple double back then for us.
He did dish 9 assists. What's sad is that they didn't box out enough for him to grab more than 3 rebounds. Triple Double average in jeopardy!
If he only gets 7 assists in his next game, he falls below 10.0. That's how close he is. And, I imagine the rules for triple doubles is no rounding up.

58 Points! 58!!! He is the MVP! -Brian Windhorst -Rachel Nichols -Jalen Rose -Chauncy Billups -Tim Legler
The "assist hunting" could be obscene in the last game of the season if RW needs to get that assist average up to 10.0. And i wonder if that scene would taint him in voters eyes. Or maybe not if they are already seduced by the Triple Double.
yea gonna be outrageous, if i was the other team. i wouldn't double him at anytime and make him shoot 50+ shots
