I may be a part of the small minority, but here is my take on the Rocket's new look. We went from the worst unis in the league to the worst unis in the league. I guess they are better than the olds ones. I would have rather keep the old ones and removed the cartoon and pinstripes. I think the Cavs stole our real new unis and gave us theirs. It is sad that a blind owner can pick better uniforms than Les. Did I mention the warmups -- when did light grey become a cool color --they look like grey sweatsuits from walmart that someone took to the t-shirt shop and ironed on the word rockets. The floor sucks too. Come on rockets - we deserve better.

too bad, cant do nothing about it. IMO I think they are top 15 in the L. and the floor is SWEEEEEEEEET. but the hornets have the best hardwood
part of the small minority? with the way the team is playing which is what most care about, and the way Clutch duped us and made us realize just how much we take advantage of this creation of his and all he does for us, you are the only one who gives a damn about this right now, well you and maybe one vodka up'd kook who lives to b**** about their suites cushion seats not being posh enough for their asses and who is more concerned about what kind of cheese he wants with his wine than he is about the Houston Rockets winning again.
Huh? Do you have something agaist mostly red jerseys? I mean, how basic can you get? Or are you blowing the twin stripes on the side of the unis out of proportion? The unis are just fine!
I beg to differ. Have you seen the Mavs' silver jerseys? Ugthhh. I'm not a huge fan of the new unis either, but I think I'll like them more over time. I along with most vocal fans like the return to red. Next time around, I'd be interested in seeing them pull off a red and gold/yellow combo that works. I hate the Lakers, but I wouldn't mind some yellow unis similar to theirs.
At first I had mixed reactions about the new uniforms. But since then they have grown on me and now I love them. The only thing that could improve is that the home white uniforms look a tad too simple. I think it would be really cool to make them a light silver color instead of white. You would still keep the red letters and stripes. Or you coud just have two alternate home jerseys- white and silver. Kinda like how the Lakers have yellow and white. Unfortunately, for some reason, the NBA doesnt allow silver home jerseys. I dont know why. As long as you keep it at a light silver color instead of a dark grey, I dont see how it would be a problem. The Rockets should get a petition going along with other NBA teams and try to convince David Stern to change the rule. I know the Spurs would support the petition. THey have been trying to wear silver home uniforms for a long time.
from what i understand, the NBA will allow a third jersey two years after any major redesign. if you notice, PHX and DAL are just now unveiling thirds.
Dallas's thirds are UGLY. Phoenix jerseys are pretty good.. Rockets. I just love Rockets. Just too expensive!
MArk cuban decided to no use those anymore because they were destracting to the players. Besides, they looked like trash bags.
you understand incorrectly.. Tim said in a thread a little while back that it is only one year after the new unis before they can get alternates.
Either way, I can't wait. The simplicity of the new Uni's I think will allow for a lot of flexibility in designing the alternates. And screw the silver, lets get some some nostalgic gold in their with the red.
