Somebody explain something for me, please. Isn't there a "Cleveland rule" which prevents a team from trading away their first round pick for two years in a row? We didn't have one last summer, so how can we get away with having traded the one after this season? (I know it doesn't have to be your own first round pick, but I'm pretty sure you have to use SOMEBODY'S first round pick at least once every two years.)

You can't trade away back to back FUTURE picks.

You could work it so you never had a first round pick, you'd just have to wait until after the draft to trade away the next year's first rounder.

O.K. Thanks. Not that I feel much better about it, but at least I know how it was legal.
