Yeah I know that there have been 1,000 threads on this guy, but I just feel the need to start one more. I just cant seem to support a guy who makes millions and who doesnt give 2 S#@t's about playing the game of basketball.

Can you imagine him during the championship years on our team? I guarantee you Mario and Kenny would have told him to SACK UP and PLAY!

His work ethic is beyond poor, and he only decides to play well when he wants to. He should be benched till his A$$ smells like Pinesol!

Im sick of hearing his so-called supporters come out of the closet when he has 1 good game to post the ever-so-popular "see I told you so!" threads

Im sick of hearing "Just wait and see"

Im sick of hearing "He is the center of the future"

Im sick of hearing "He will put fear in opposing players eyes"

Admit it .... Cato is a bust

If you dont ..... you are in denial

I dont remember anyone saying "I told you so" about Cato. I think even the Cato supporters are just hoping he'll turn it around. I don't see anyone saying "LOOK AT WHAT CATO CAN DO WHEN HE GETS PLAYING TIME!!! I TOLD YOU SO!!!! GO TO HELL RUDY!!!!"

I see people go, "It was nice to see Cato wake up and finally show what he's capable of, I hope he can build from this"

Guess I am in denial. Sure he hasn't been worth the 42 million, but I still like him in the lineup.

Problem is: Everyone TALKS about his big game.

Please show me how he has been made a positive IMPACT on this team.
Please show me how he has contributed to helping the Houston Rockets win basketball games.
Please show me that his work ethic is better than Jabba the Hut.

You wouldn't be much of an impact player either if you were sitting on the bench behind Dream.

Or if you were a bit out of shape after a freak injury.

He's played, what, about 60 minutes total this season and you've decided he can't play? Give him some consistent minutes before you demand consistent numbers.

Man what is so fun about pointing out the negatives in something ALL THE TIME!

Nobody said "I told you so". Nobody said wait and see or he's the center of the future. Everybody is waiting for him to get healthy and contribute. Granted he has done some questionable things, but did this warrant yet ANOTHER ranting thread about the SAME thing we have seen in other threads? What is new in this thread that wasn't stated in another thread?

I admit that I was disappointed that he was too tired to help out more last night, but I guess it's just part of getting back into game shape.

He played more than he played all season in the Hawks game, so it's natural that he was tired last night - there's a reason people talk about getting into game shape all the time.

Give the kid some more time. Every good game he has either helps us win or ups his trade value. It's not like he hurts us like a Walt when he has a bad game, considering our lack of strong bodies in the post anyway.

I think everyone agrees that he hasn't been worth the money yet. But try to factor in that you have to pay more for talent in the low post, since there is so little of it in the league. 7 million a year for a center is probably 3.5 - 4.5 million a year in guard dollars.

Obviously you dont read the same threads that I do Millenium.

I just dont support a "Rocket" player when its obvious to everyone and God that he doesnt have the "Heart of a Champion". We all know who those Rocket players are and arent.

You can't judge cato till he starts playing. You're right, when he played, he wasn't worth crap. But since he's gained confidence, and changed his outlook, he hasn't gotten a chance to play. There's no way you can claim he's a bust, when the new Cato hasn't played yet.

Like Baron Davis. Who would've thought he'd be this good? He NEVER PLAYED, so the possibility was always there.

Cato is the ideal center on this team since we have 3 to 4 scoring threats at a time on the floor. he can also help this team with his blocks, and rebounding. Like this, we'd have two players TRYING HARD on the defensive end, Cato and Shandon.

I'm not saying Cato isn't a bust, but I'm not saying he is one. He still hasn't been given the chance, and THAT's the truth.

Cato "the Wall of God" has yet to get his opportunity. We have judged him too early. He's got plenty to offer us when he's healthy. Imagine Cato initiating the fast break. Imagine him deflecting a shot, Webber picks the Board, and then starts the break...ooooohhhh lala baby!

Cato is one of the better Centers. I'm still in his corner. He's a perfect fit for this team.

Cato has not played well this year, period. But I will not call him a bust when he is in the first year of a contract. If he doesn't ave 12-7-3 next year, then a bust. Stop the knee jerk reaction and remember, we have him for several more years. Lets see how he plays healthy next year. You can't call hm a bust till he has played at least 20% of his contract.

Everyone thought Antawn was a bust but look at him this year. Shall I name others. How bout Dirk. Nellie said he would be ROY, he was good, but look at him now. Lets think long term. If he signed a 1 yr 7 mill contract, yes a bust, but you have to wait and see.

The majority of the board has been asking for the guy to be traded all year! Besides, some people like him, big deal. I'd rather hope for him to improve and help us, then to trash hime every other day. I just don't see the fun in that.

As a fellow rockets, we always hope for the best. That in this case is Cato shutting everybody down like Hakeem or Mutumbo does almost everynight. However, Cato has shown little consistency in anything except being injured.

Cato reminds me of that fool (don't remember his name, "Mc something") Utah fans used to talk about. He had a couple blocks on Hakeem and they paid him millions of dollars. Well we all know how that turned out.

Don't get me wrong, I would love for Cato to be the next coming of Mutumbo or even Antonio Davis. However, I am not holding my breath.

I remember people saying Tracy McGrady is the biggest bust in the draft a while back in his rookie season at Toronto...look how he turned out? he did not have any playing time, so he did not get a chance to play and improve himself in his rookie season yet people call him a bust...

Just need to have a little patience sometimes..he's injured all year long, give the guy a little break...

I'm not a Cato supporter, but look at the improvement he's shown since coming back from his last injury. He's played in 10 out of 12 games since coming back without stubbing his toe so much as once. If he keeps this up, I might become a believer. [IMG]
