Do you guys think the strategy backfired?

My feeling is that even though he made his shots, 8/10 I think, they were able to reduce the lead from 20 to 14 or 16. Given more time, they may have kept chipping away at that lead. Our flow was completely off and players started slacking on defense. They really need to practice that more because I'm sure Pop will see this game and study it.

I'm ecstatic about the win, but all you folks saying Memphis isn't a problem better factor in that we were only up 4 at half, where we were shooting around 50% from the field and three....Those guys were on a B2B road game and gassed... It showed in the third. In the playoffs, it will slow down into a half court deal against teams like this. Hats off to our Rockets, but we still have work to do....CC's progression back is huge, but the Grizz still present match up issues

Ariza only played 29 minutes tonight. With Lou instead of Brewer the Rockets are playing more three guard lineups with seemingly good success and reducing everyone's minutes. A rested Ariza is a better shooter and defender. The 9 player rotation MDA worked with tonight should be what we see in the playoffs with Harrell sprinkled in here and there.

They should change it from the last 2min to the last 5min, or do it for every 2 or 3 consecutive intentional fouls.

Yes it back fired big time dude. Lol They were able to cut into the lead because of the easy buckets due to bad defense. A few of those resulted in And 1's. But if Capela doesn't make 8/10 they really cut into our lead. Props is well deserved.

    great game,
i have my confidence back again, im watching games laid back, sipping tea with steady hand. i feel a lot of things have to happen for rockets to lose, like in indiana game. and even then, seems to me we re close.

this one is gonna fuel me for at least a week.

Seems like Beverly dominates it every game.

Not a problem is too much, I agree, but they are not as frightening as they used to be. Even in the playoffs - in 2017 you won't survive without good shooting. Memphis is bottom-5 in TS% and Eff FG%, their best shooter is Troy Daniels who has a disastrous Off. Rating. Parsons being irrelevant hurts them a lot. I think other than the Thunder, the Grizz would be the best realistic fit for us in the first round, definitely would pick them over the Jazz and the Clippers.

We really need someone like that Green dude on the Grizz to rebound and clean up in the paint. When you have stretch fours bricking and not giving $19 mil effort, sometimes a four like him can be helpful to a team cuz of his interior play

The most valuable player after Harden is Beverly. I know Ariza is a glue guy as well but that doesn't hide the fact that his offense a liability. Unfortunately, Ariza is the weakest offensive player now that Brewer is gone. Like Morey said, this team's mission/vision is to outscore opponents and with that being said his offense is horrible.

    Hack-a-Big or not. A 'W' is a W.
Way to go Clint! 80% from the stripe
Good to get one against a division rival

James Harden true defensive juggernaut - guarding Gasol!? That must give you much flexibility on defense...

I think we take James Harden for granted. He was brilliant against the Grizzlies.
